Re: spring installer
NOTA ties and/or beats XTA being played nowadays, according to recent mod stats... I was perhaps being too idealistic with the *A mods, and wanted everything to start afresh. I can "get around"/delude myself with other games "Maybe no one likes that type of game", but with *A bec...

Re: spring installer
I suggest that there be a meta option called "TA Suite", that if clicked (or something like that) which selects all the *A mods. One can expand the folder to deselect specific Mods if they wish. Mainly I don't see the value in giving a "new person" of the obligation/freedom (can'...

Remove "eyes" as default for LuaWidgets
Hey, even stuff as inane as "how long are mutes for" can be posted...might as well post this. ;) Anyways title is self explanatory; don't know if it is only a mod specific thing or not, but remove it. To think the countless newbs get confused that the first thing then see when they start t...

Re: How do you start a single player game
"without opening a lobby"?
Assuming you're using "Springlobby" (since you're using linux), just press cancel when the window pops up asking whether you want to connect.
You don't need to connect, or be online even to play single player.

I don't remember a situation where the arc beam was a battle changing factor. Usually too focused wtfing and dealing with the swarm to notice the beam, though it may just be my limited skills.

Spamming to say,
I am on said 28.8k limit right now.
I'm on Optus Cable, particular plan no longer exists for new customers though.... so nvm
Why no one joins my games?

Re: To All Those Who Said Spring Is Dieing/Losing Players
Some of the views expressed really dismays me tbh...I don't want to constantly feel "ashamed" of the way I play this game. Ok, you like your competitive play whatever. I don't. Don't force it at my expense thanks. I'm all for improving ladder etc to make it more attractive/ mean more; but ...

Re: BA Chickens! (from CA)
My 2 cents; Chicken was presented/perceived as a lulz thing, a (good and way fun though) variant of random enemies... rather than as a core thing which would be the case if were originally seen as a genuine third race. Even if was a NPC 3rd race only available in a spinoff.... I doubt we would even ...

Re: To All Those Who Said Spring Is Dieing/Losing Players
IIRC... (but I'm enjoying Linux (which always had it) too much to try it), the latest versions of SpringLobby now read your autojoin channel and filter preferences from an editable text config file, that can be placed in the Spring directory. As opposed to the old method of using registry The intent...

Re: BloX
I am strangely attracted to this mod, must be the simplicity. Each block (Blox) has a clear role. You combo the blocks together to get a unit that suits your needs. Anyways it very cool. Didn't read the whole thread; would one of the intention of this mod to become the ultimate mix and match "m...

Re: Kernel Panic
Wild fanciful and insane suggestion. Prob because I played too many hours (mindless bot bashing mind you, but its quick, can be used to fill up short bursts of idle time, unlike doing the same with *A and it's fun!) and am just delusional A new faction called the "User", which would be FPS...

1. Deselect "eyes" from the widget list. That would remove the eyes and annoying test. Press f11 to open/close the widget list.

Re: Mod Unrestricted Autohosts?
And you know the simplest response; Making those "non BA mod specific" autohosts, mod unrestricted excluding BA? Seeing it is BA we are talking about which will get 24/7 100% usage...regardless of the number of autohosts we have. And before anyone comments, this change has *absolutely zero...

Mod Unrestricted Autohosts?
Any chance our benevolent autohosters would consider making their hosts Mod unrestricted? It's a huge ask, since I realise part of the reason the autohost was set up was to promote their own mod, but looking at the community as a whole, the goal is to allow people to setup games when they want, wher...

Probably because I've never had much experience with tracs (I'm only a player heh), but who you show us an example of a trac page, about anything.. that looks like a well rounded inclusive site?

Re: a few requests.
I think while Gota got a point that one would expect it to be a large download (its a 3d rts cmon...), I think the installer is perhaps bloated compared to whats being played I wish there is a similar stats thing for maps like there is for mods...however, really,. if you put in DSD, Tabula and say.....

Are you sure? I can not see it when choosing an AI for a bot (alongside KAIK, RAI etc), nor as an option for choosing side, like in AI test.
Unless its a SpringLobby issue that's making it not show up.

Re: TASclient
Posting to ask whether anyone else commenting here has actually tried Spring Lobby as well.
Just for the sake of getting the whole picture, if you're going to talk about clients. Seeing as it is the main alternative client that's used.
I personally find SL's design more accommodating to newcomers.
