Re: Bitcoin ROI made easy
This guy has nice ROI: https://blockchain.info/address/1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF Looks like someone gathered large amounts before they were worth anything and held on to them. Now worth over 300 mln. If bitcoin grows to be a replacement of 'normal' currencies, how does it make sense that th...

Re: units hugging enemies?
Not sure why players are not raising hell about it. We lack of micro players, and players are already pissed off by many things, they can't cry all day long. Overall we are just happy it's still alive, thx for that. Btw in old engine we used to have even allied units that refused to stay too close ...

a weapon that does 50k damage, with an aoe of 720 and an edgeeffectiveness of 0.25... At 719 the amount of damage dealt will be roughly 12,500 @klap, at the risk of being really rude (as you have been to me, repeatedly), how many spring games have you built from literal scratch? How many spring gam...

Re: I think the commander as it is is a bad game mechanic
Please stop fucking up BA already. Please, elaborate? Or were you just trolling? This reply was aimed at not only this thread, but also many other threads made in this subforum over the past years. In this, and all those other threads, people discuss and propose changes to BA while showing how litt...

Re: New BA releases / Changelog
Spring is a small place. The first place you should ever go if you want detailed information is the repository. None of the games for spring have the manpower needed for handholding. Or, ya know, you could load up ba on the test server and click the button labeled "Changelog". I guess for...

Re: New BA releases / Changelog
Is it too much work for you to just look for yourself? https://github.com/Balanced-Annihilation/Balanced-Annihilation/blob/master/changelog.txt Weird, I thought I already replied to this post. Not too much work, but considering this forum is my go-to place for spring/BA related stuff and github is ...

I don't play regularly. I do regularly read the changelogs on the forum because I like to keep up with the changes. Was it too much work to post them here?

don't provide a portable version which isnt ... As said, your terminology is wrong. The portable version is portable (-> can be used from a USB stick) and the isolated version is isolated (-> uses only one directory). They are not the same thing - it seems you are downloading something marked "...

Re: PrincessHosts: rules & info
Does it also save maps as a single map file then? As far as I know, maps are always saved as individual files. ( Games downloaded via rapid will be broken into pieces). Not sure anymore, is some years(?) back. Couldn't locate maps that I downloaded via rapid then. Even though this is getting horrib...

Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
@klap, did you go look at it ingame (no, I know you didn't, because if you had you would have realized that this is much ado about nothing)? And the people complaining have not been listening to me, nor have they bothered to look either. I posed technical reasons why relying on sound was folly. ......

Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
It is visible, but it is the terribly obvious either. If you weren't watching it would be easy enough to miss, but at least there is some visual feedback when your base randomly starts exploding. Perhaps you should go look at it in the alpha test host. Additionally, by your comment, you didn't read...

Ah, thx. Does it also save maps as a single map file then? Perhaps in something like spring\maps?Silentwings wrote:Yes, but what you want is called 'isolated'. https://github.com/spring/spring/blob/d ... 6.txt#L201Is spring truly portable yet?

Doesn't sound like it is too late. Please consider what I said above, FA.jamerlan wrote:too late. He did it already :-Dklapmongool wrote:No visible sniper shots, please. Can imagine more visible sniper shot impact or more audible sniper shot sound though.

Re: PrincessHosts: rules & info
Probably something to save bandwidth(for Australian users?). Nothing simpler then just having the maps yourself, especially in case of reinstalls/updates of engine. Prefer simply being able to download files into my portable spring dir over having shitty links in shitty files in shitty windows dirs....

Re: Ashes of the singularity
Played it. Pretty good game. Has major flaws in unit control though: units react slowly and can't be moved to an exact spot. Also no custom line movements. Forming armies is a joke which makes unit behavior even worse. This game would benefit greatly from widgets like we have in BA.
