I use Maya (from 7.0 to 8.5) a lot, for school projects and making units for spring maybe I can help. if you still need it.

Argh is (of course) right. people should remember they are beta testers. maybe we need more signs informing them of this.

also the vertical white bar, placed near the healthbar of the unit (in the 3d view). of course it's only visible after he actually got some exp. which is a rare case since people tend to send their units to death.

modeling Mobile Suits is kinda hard. done it once myself. took an entire week. but imo it's better to do then a human figure, since it's actually made of geometric figures.

There is no way Spring a mod could get an entire ocherstral suite for free. So you will have to stick to your own music. in that case: what's wrong with your fav media player? the little memory winamp uses...

Spring is an engine and does not have any content at all. If you want a mascot, don't bound it to any mod.

Personally, I don't see the reason. you can have a brilliant logo as recognition element. that doesn't need to be a unit or so O.o

Well, I won't. as neddie said. the modders take great care in balancing the metal flow. Not likly a random host can bring more balance.
