Re: Cannot Upload a Map to autohost Heeeelp
Actually I remember experimenting a bit with pr-downloader long time ago, unfortunately I wasn't able to use pr-downloader in a non-intrusive way (i.e. not modifying anything else than what was asked, in the location it was asked). I don't remember exactly which commands I tested and what were the e...

Re: Can't update spads to new engine version
If not in automanagedspringversion, where do you tell it what version to use? As explained here , there are 2 ways to manage Spring binaries with SPADS. 1) You can choose to manage Spring installation yourself manually. In this case you don't specify a version in spads.conf but you directly configu...

Re: Can't update spads to new engine version
My recommended actions: Enable SPADS auto-update on your autohosts ( remember that if you share same SPADS installation directory between several autohosts, only one of them must have auto-update enabled (*) ) Stop downloading the Spring packages yourself, according to your configuration you chose t...

Re: SPADS AutoHost
Starting with SPADS version 0.12.7 (only in unstable SPADS release for now), TLS is enabled by default for lobby server connection if it is supported by your Perl environment. You can still disable TLS for lobby server connection if you want by adding "lobbyTls=off" as command line paramet...

Re: Automatic Spring installation not working on recent linux distributions
This is due to a bug in the static 7za binary used by SPADS when used with specific locale configurations and recent linux distributions.
I updated SPADS to workaround the issue (only in unstable SPADS release for now).

TLS support for lobby connection is now available for all SPADS releases, but it's not enabled by default.Silentwings wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 08:00 Afaik SPADS is in the process of adopting https support (maybe its in dev but not release atm).

Re: Cannot Upload a Map to autohost Heeeelp
This command is not included in SPADS core but offered by the DownloadArchives plugin. The latest version of this plugin (0.4) should be fine with https links.Jonny5isalivetm wrote: ↑28 Jan 2020, 02:30 It was from springlobby to a autohost, using !dlmap command

Re: Official plugins releases
The DownloadArchives plugin has been updated in version 0.4 to support TLS (https downloads). You can update the DownloadArchives plugin easily by just replacing the .pm file and issuing "!plugin DownloadArchives reload" (no need to restart SPADS).

Re: Can't update spads to new engine version
Something must be missing in the directory of the new engine version you are trying to use and this version is no longer available for download so SPADS can't fix it.

Re: Spads crash when a certain player joins battle room
SPADS plugins can cause crash of whole autohost, by altering internal SPADS data and breaking consistency for example. I would need to check the NoSmurfVoting plugin source to tell you if there is something wrong with it, however are you aware of the PreventVoteExploit plugin which should already do...

Re: Unit Restrictions
SPADS only supports enabling or disabling units entirely, it doesn't support limiting to a specific number.
This is a limitation of the lobby protocol itself, which only supports DISABLEUNITS and ENABLEUNITS commands.

automatic/unattended SPADS install
SPADS now supports fully automatic/unattended installation when using spadsInstaller version 0.23 (only in unstable SPADS release for now). To perform a fully automatic installation, you need to create a file named "spadsInstaller.auto" in your SPADS installation directory (the location wh...

Re: Spring v104.0.1+ BA10.24 unsync
Did you install other Spring instances manually? Maybe something went wrong when first scanning archives and caching data...
You can try wipe out your "/root/spads/var/instance_official/cache" folder to see if it helps.

Can you provide the content of your unitsync.log and infolog.txt files (located in your SPADS insanceDir, which should be the"var" subdirectory of your SPADS installation directory if you didn't change the default value)

Re: SPADS AutoHost
Not sure if this answers your question, but afaik currently only (self-signed) server side certificates are used in lobby protocol encryption, so you don't need your own certificates to run a SPADS instance. SPADS does the same as SpringLobby: it validates the server certificate based on a trusted c...

Re: SPADS AutoHost
Experimental support for TLS has been added in SPADS 0.12.6 (only in "unstable" release for now).
You can try it by adding "lobbyTls=on" as command line parameter when launching SPADS.

Re: messages from spads hosts not appearing on lobby chat
Apparently you just replaced a code comment with a new call to "onLobbyConnected()", which should make things worse... You should revert this commit and just add the "if(getLobbyState() > 3)" check at the end of the line containing the call to "onLobbyConnected()" as I ...

Re: messages from spads hosts not appearing on lobby chat
Nothing has changed at SPADS side, the warnings you see in your logs are just due to the "PlayerAnnounce" plugin you are using. It seems this plugin is redefining/erasing callbacks it has already declared. If this is the code you are using for this plugin, then you should just add the chec...
