Re: Long time player - new to forums
Welcome back! BA v9.54 was a testversion basicly, and the current official stable is v9.46. We're still working on tuning the new visuals and mechanics. Glad you like the looks already. (music will be gone again in newer versions though) Saw some years ago an attempt to reskin BA but I guess that wa...

Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
Until yesterday, the sniper had radar jamming. I feel the need to clarify this.... It had defined "radardistancejam = 10" which didn't seem to do anything in practice. Probably some leftover from BA 4.7 - 5.1 when its stealth was removed. You stating it like this seems like you removed so...

Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
It's a little bit confusing, but he means the LOS of a radar, not the radar functionality itselfNot true. Sniper can usually be spotted by radar quite well

Or report it via BA's Discord:

usually the most casual and interactive method.

Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
It was changed to cannon so snipers wouldn't kill eachother... is what the changelog tells

Re: Idle builders
This/my version has stripped the old plain icon display option. (newer version of this widget is included in BA btw, its disabled by default) Since new Spring engine version it sometimes renders the models in plain color depending of where you are in the map. I've tried to fix that, but without succ...

Re: Feedback on latest BA versions
Thanks to Forb for being spokesperson on my behalf. I appreciate his clarifications.
I must add that the old commander explosion sound should be back, but isnt working atm.
The ones involved are the ones testing it, thank you for testing.

Re: Feedback on latest BA versions
Better is to play at the testhost than to play 9.54
Teamcolor changes are toggable via Options window (dunno if 9.54 offers that)

Floris un-resignation (split from Forking BA)
Split from https://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=35809. (Silentwings.) I'm still devving BA btw. See https://github.com/Balanced-Annihilation/Balanced-Annihilation/commits/master for changes Next BA is still going to be more similar to BA 9.46 as well anyway. Remember that last relea...

Re: Floris resignation (split from Feedback on latest BA versions)
I'll revert some changes and fixing others but yes, it makes no sense for me to fully go back to 9.46

Re: Floris resignation (split from Feedback on latest BA versions)
To Silentwings I personally think that zombifying BA is a poor idea, done out of what I can only imagine is vengeance. We've put 2.5 months of hard work into new BA version, it kinda is what it is atm. Plus it keeps my option open to still continue, if desired. Both you and I (and as it happens, so...

Re: Feedback on latest BA versions
Thanks for the feedback MasterBel2. Just fixed the aircon wing issue. Buildrange (as everyone seems to have mentioned) is a potentially big issue. I like what it does for air cons, but apart from that it seems too big a change, as with buildspeed of labs. I 'm aware of the buildrange/buildspeed is p...

Floris resignation (split from Feedback on latest BA versions)
Split from https://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=35837. (Silentwings) This is where currently BA is discontinued, without maintainer. (I still am in control of it though) I think nobody is fitting enough to continue the work in the spirit of the current direction it was heading and t...

I just tried searching the codes for 'scrollspeed' and 'tweak' but I didn't find any relevant code that could cause this
