I had the same problem I believe when I was trying to build with mingw a while back.. I didn't investigate it, but the following workaround got it to compile for me. In the main SConstruct file, I had to change env = Environment(tools = ['default', 'rts'], toolpath = ['.', 'rts/build/scons']) into e...

There was a configuration issue I missed with the mail server, so no forum mails were sent. But that should be working again now. And the download page has been fixed as well.

About the downtime..

Well, as I was updating the server hardware my fiber converter suddenly stopped working! Quite a strange coincidence.. Turned out that the AC adapter died. But now I have a new one at least. On the bright side, the hardware update seems to have gone well, and the server is now running on an amd x64 ...

Server downtime tomorrow (monday)

My ISP has scheduled some router maintenance and upgrading for tomorrow, and this will lead to downtime affecting the page and the lobby. Not sure for how long, but I would guess a few hours during the day at least. So now you know what to expect!

We don't use the actual files though, but the script engine should support most of the stuff that they define.

I'm still not sure if you have tried what I wrote, but ok, here's a complete set of commands that works fine here:

Code: Select all

svn checkout svn://svn.berlios.de/taspring-linux/trunk/TASServer
cd TASServer
"\Program Files\java\jdk1.5.0_06\bin"\javac *.java
So what output do you get when you run this?

Site speedup

I installed a php accelerator today to speed things up. The wiki seems noticably faster, hopefully it can be noticed on the messageboard as well. But if you notice any new strange site problems, please let me know. :)

Hm.. Building the server is not very complicated. Use Sun's JDK, type "javac *.java" and you are done.

About the site front page

I was just looking at the wiki, and I noticed the new proposed main page which looks nicer than the current site front page I must say. So perhaps we should use it as the real frontpage for the time being. I have not been giving much attention to spring the last few weeks unfortunately, since I've s...

Something was up with the dns it seems, looked almost like the primary and secondary nameservers returned different ip's or something like that. I think it is fixed now though.
