Updated site layout ready?
I've done a bit more work on the layout update for the current site based on the design created by Roflcopter. It can be found here: http://nyspring.clan-sy.com. So the question is, is it ready enough to go live? I don't think there are any show-stopping problems left, but you never know.. :) Some t...

Re: The website (yes, again)
if you need anything related to the looks (such as banners, a layout for the other main pages or stuff), tell me. I'm also not going to discuss anything already discussed here because I don't really know what is going on and my opinion is useless most of the time. Right, it's probably best to leave...

Re: The website (yes, again)
I added a bit more of roflcopters layout to the frontpage . The video box is still just an image though. I also added some basic content management. If you go here , it's possible for anyone to add more images to the banner and welcome image rotations. I guess if this gets deployed on the live site ...

Re: The website (yes, again)
it looks great so far fnordia, are you going to add more banners for other projects? Well, I only added the two banners that I found in the two designs posted earlier in this thread by roflcopter. I barely know how to open photoshop. :) It would certainly make sense to have more than two if it is g...

Re: The website (yes, again)
If the new site improves other things than the visual layout, I don't see why updating the current site with a new layout would kill it? Anyway, here 's what I ended up with today. I guess it would take a bit more effort to make the wiki look coherent again. Perhaps it should get a nicer design as w...

Re: The website (yes, again)
Perhaps I should just take a few hours and apply roflcopter's design to the current site. :)

Re: Have we been attacked?
Looks like it rebooted for some reason.. Guess the problem would not be as bad if the dns actually updated automatically though. The server has been up during most of the downtime lately, but with a new IP. Think I have fixed it now though. Guess we'll see next time! I'm not a professional ISP thoug...

Re: Is the screenshot page down?
But this screenshot page autogenerates the thumbnails when new images has been uploaded to the screenshot folder. Guess it would be nice if the display functionality still worked without the image library though. Oh well. Anyway, working now.

Downtime over
The server has been moved to its new location, so we have now passed the scheduled downtime. So we will now resume the regular operation with unscheduled downtime only.
Re: Buildbot?
I haven't installed fisheye yet, so I guess you will have to settle for websvn for the time being. For just checking changelogs etc it should be more than adequate.

Re: Installer Mirrors
To clarify, what is needed is basically a virtual host accepting "installer.clan-sy.com" and a rewrite rule, that redirects all incoming requests to a redirect.php on a different host. This is how installer.clan-sy.com is set up currently: <VirtualHost *> ServerName installer.clan-sy.com R...

Re: 0.76b2
Okay, installer.clan-sy.com is now redirecting requests to other servers. It should distribute the load randomly but I only have one server defined so far. :) Downloads were redirected to spring.clan-sy.com/dl/installer around 16.00.. It's certainly noticable already: http://fnord.clan-sy.com/bandwi...

Re: 0.76b2
To distribute the load caused by the installer, it's probably easiest to set up a redirection script on the installer.clan-sy.com host, that instead of serving the files just redirects the request between different hosts. Then you could do stuff like sending 70% of traffic to one site for example, a...

Re: Forum software upgraded
Perhaps someone with a bit of graphical talent could modify the large topic-buttons? Since they are meant to be displayed on a white background, the anti-aliasing does not look quite correct on blue.
These are the ones I mean: (let's see if attachments work):

Re: Who finnally uploaded the new screenshots?
There's not really any political agenda being furthered when it comes to screenshot selection. I usually just download a lot from the screenshot threads that pop up every once in a while, and narrow it down to a few based on what I think looks nice. And as I usually say in these kind of posts, any s...

Re: Forum software upgraded
Tweaked the header and icon placements a bit now. Have also changed fonts to be more like phpbb2.
The report icon is still off by one pixel in firefox. I'll try some more later. :)

Forum software upgraded
The forum software has been upgraded to phpBB3. I've imported the old database and done an initial tweaking of the layout to be similar to the old one. Please let me know if you notice any problems or things that could be improved.
