@bob: no i just decided to make it dark for some reason, also replacing the black with a lighter teamcolor really changes the look of it completely, and it doesn't look so dark. @wombat: ah hell i'm too lazy to add edges, i'd rather use my time for other stuff... like a tank... oh god here comes ano...

so yeah, that's amazing. what tools in GIMP do you use? (e.g. gradient-ish to make those tubes and just about everything else) and what do you do with layers? so far i'm only using one for AO and another for drawing, how would i be able to use them more effectively?

afaik, he has a bunch of heightmaps, but he doesn't feel they're ready for release, as for texturing, i can make textures for him with my gradient map method

i agree with you thoughts about mechs being weak and the need for corpses, however, the whole building killing thing means you don't have artillery, artillery makes short work of buildings.
