JSONRPC (over TCP) is probably easiest - but don't worry about Lua, I expect lobby/launchers are far more likely to post logs than ingame Lua widgets - you can't really report crashes reliably through Lua.

Re: infologs.springrts.com
That's like... pastbin? :D I'm always afraid this can be used for warez, but I guess measures can be implemented only when it happens, and not before. Yep :) It can be as simple and useful as pastebin. I think having a tag based system would allow us to parse logs in a specific way or alert users a...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
Having a service to upload stuff to is not really a problem. The question is more one of requirements -> concept. I'd start by just having a public service to upload log files (probably intologs but not necessarily). No login required to read nor write. Maybe you could allow us to specify tags so t...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
Well seeing how no one is using even the simple infolog service, I think we shouldn't be asking some convoluted system... Personally right now, all I want is a microservice that allows me to uploads (info)logs. Although I'd probably use it to upload the entire lobby + infolog. PS: spring-replays pro...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
dansan, Is there any way you could allow infolog to be uploaded without a user account? And btw, what was the link to the API? I can't seem to find it in the obvious places (repo or site)

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects
I cannot post directly to "Content Development" and none of its subforums fit the post with which I would like to start with: namely "Help wanted, add player lobby client name & version reporting support to protocol and Uberserver (langs: XML,Python)". Is Lobby Clients &...

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects
Discussion would be important as well. Ok, I guess we can start with forum threads and then in the future perhaps condense all the issues on a wiki page, should forum search prove to be insufficient. Can somebody now create the "contribution corner" or "help wanted" subforum? Co...

Thanks, I'm aware. I suggest you either download it manually or wait until I fix this issue. I'm working on a better tool which requires a rewrite.Captaintoottoot wrote: ↑22 Aug 2018, 16:25 It still errors when I try to run the program. The error is in the attachment

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects
@Flozi, Ah, well for things like that forums might be a better option. Is the point to offer easy issues which can be contributed to by newbs or to provide a discussion (with a proof of concept implementation at the most) for difficult issues? I was thinking he was mostly interested about newbs henc...

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects
GitHub "help wanted" labels in issues. If they can't be bothered to check the issue tracker don't expect any meaningful contribution. "the issue tracker"? Since when is there only one? There isn't just one of course. Go to the GitHub page of the project you're interested and sta...

Re: 4 geovent decals, 4 mex decals
There's probably no easy way currently, but it is of course technically possible.
Things that'd make this happen are engine decals (decals gl4), embedding decals in map (map normals or dnts), or manually drawing it with a bit of effort

It's cute! Silly, but cute, and entertaining. Those reinforcements came in clutch. The paratroopers is a pretty awesome and funny touch. Thanks for the review! The only thing I didn't like was that when I right click to move, it puts all my guys in a line. Yes, I can line move, but if I want to mov...

Re: Wiki: issues + quick questions/answers
Is it OK if I go and just manually remove all the instances of the extra <pre> tags (boxes) that are still found in some places?
Let me know if you (abma, FLOZi, some other wiki guru?) think it should be done differently, else I'll go ahead.
