New Map Tool Idea/Request
Scince the current (SM2) map format allows for tiling, and SM3 isn't done yet, I would really love to request a new compiler made specifically for tiled textures. The current problem with making maps is that the larger maps are nearly impossible without either paying for L3dt (Only up to 32x32 still...

Is SM3 even working?
Ok, so I got my Heightmap defined, I got my GameAreaH + W set right, got a typemap and a metalmap, no feature map, and I go to load it, gets to creating sky, and crashticle to desktop. Is SM3 even usable at all right now, or no?

Dynamic Music Idea: Make Spring worth listening to
Here's an idea for dynamic music *mixing*. Defaults should be changed via mod's .tdf tags. 5 tracks [Track1] Volume to 100% when no enemies within 200ft of camera [Track5] Mix up when altitude of camera is within 100 ft of sea level [Track2] Mix up when enemies are within 200 ft of camera [Track3] M...

I rarely find somthing amazing enough to login to post about, but QAI + SSP = TA2. Seriously, I just played my first game of NanoBlobs, and hot damn, great job. Any AI that doesn't require a config file is A+ in my book, let alone one that can play nanoblobs. (Even if it is just target practice) :wi...

Leave the unit size as is or else I will kill 1 kitten every minute till it's changed. Really, just add unit icons or increase view/LOD distance. This game NEEDS mods with tiny units. This rules! And while I agree the buildspeed is rediculously slow, I think quad would be a lil too fast. A slow game...

remember populous, then remember how cool you be if spring could be played in populous style maps (planet shaped). Pure. Frucking. WIN. I still have Populous, best friking game this side of TA. Spheroid maps in spring would be physically impossible, for only alienware computers can handle that much...

Yeah, that was one of my favorate tactics in OTA. Set a bunch of torpedo and fighter seaplanes in a cross-continent canal and wait for the transport ships.... Boom, no more navy. Also, construction seaplanes are GREAT contingency plans. Hide them underwater in a far corner of the map for that rare s...

Usage of Space travel
Space travel seems to be more and more mainstream, but my question is this: What possible good could come from traveling off-planet? What could we possible find, see, capture, or colonize that would pay off a multi-thousand manhour, multi-billion dollar investment of this calibur?

1. Rip Altored Divide heightmap, metalmap and featuremap using AF's exporter. 2. Set up some decent blends using your purtiest textures. 3. sd7 that sheot, release at a whooping 3 or maybe 4mb filesize compared to the old 25mb map. 4. Watch as people start hosting the new version cuz it 1) is cool....
