Re: FPS Gamer's Mouse Guide - Legit?

Dunno about the refresh rate stuff, but mouse acceleration is pretty horrible for pretty much anything, turn it off. And its right to say that dpi means speed. You move the mouse the same amount with same settings, cursor moves distance relative to dpi. But if you have high dpi mouse you can turn do...

Re: Shift+Esc to Quit

Esc is not for quitting in the first place. It usually brings up an ingame menu (which allows you to quit and more). Frankly, I can't imagine that there are tons of games (we speak of AAA rts games, right?) that do not follow this scheme. Would you mind to mention some kilos? At least in Starcraft ...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.15

So... Why is that a problem? For most part Spring air units are quite boring and unresponsive to micro, so everyone should be happy about these advancements - you have something cool to do and not just right clicking and forgetting. Also it's not a new technique at all. Anything that could be "...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.15

Did linebombing break TA? Did mutalisk-stacking break Starcraft? They still have to load the same time... Except they now sit atop of aa all time. It's great technique on many circumstances but not autowin by any means. Just because something doesn't work the way you thougt it was intended doesn't m...

Re: GroupMove 1.0

Tried this now. Overall seems really good, not that useful for experienced players who know to draw formations all the time, but for noobs who often just right click it should be great. But some issues, ctrl-click should retain its usual behavior and not be turned into groupmove. No reason not to as...

Re: The Curious Case of DSDHosts.

The big games are so big that those autohosts have someone in the pretty much at all times... So it's easy to join, at any time. Even if the battle is running you can go to the battleroom (is this a good design btw?) and wait. Smaller games, even if people would like to play them, dont have that con...

Re: The Curious Case of DSDHosts.

Arrange automatic matchmaking for 1v1, so that they just have to click a button and wait a moment.

Either you gotta ban the big games, or somehow support smaller ones - personally I don't mind either route

Re: Shift+Esc to Quit

I didn't bother complaining when it was switched to esc only, but I was annoyed anyway

And theres tons of other games that don't use Esc for quitting, even if it's not shift-esc but alt+q or f10 or whatever.

Ofc it's not a good thing when more and more countries get nukes, but Israel already having nuke does take a lot of credibility from their opposition to others getting them, especially when they never declared that they have them

its not ~/.spring, just ~/spring/maps that's used.

Why isn't the Spring Installer that moved the maps/mods to right dir automatically included anymore though :/

Re: CT map help

Gaussian blur before the posterising does help, now that I looked at that huge pic. Then you'll get rid of the black boxes on the green areas, and other such artifacts. It won't turn it into a mess, just try it... Any tiny detail that might also drown in it doesn't matter, if youre gonna posterisate...
