I suggest you download the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War demo. It's a fantastic game, with fantastic unit animations/behavior. Watch for the different finishing moves. I think every melee unit has one or more unique finishers for each unit type. :-) Oh, and the Orcs have tankbusta grenades as an abi...

If that happens, have the client that crashed run "spring.exe script.txt" from the command line in the Spring directory.

Edit: what he said.

It's not just caused by different units. High lag/packetloss will also cause it.

The whole idea of radar jamming is that you don't see what's going on. For example, I loaded a jammer into an air transport, and covertly shuttled bulldogs to the other side of the mountain divide in Small Divide. It's part of what makes TA such a great game - there are so many creative things you c...

Actually, i'm kind of happy to leave it as is for the moment unless there's a huge outcry for different units/the other OTA fix.

At the moment, it standardizes units, and doubles the number of maps available to play on, which seems a fair deal.

I just played a lan game with another TA turtling veteran, and it was great!

However, I think we're going to be playing OTA tomorrow, because both games we played ended when the game suddenly crashed (too many units perhaps? We're both notorious turtlers.)

Well, we need to try it and get a consensus as to which is preferred. It's possible that the effect is exactly the same, as I think what was done for the OTA patch was to take the Evolva changelist, and just work backwards.

I think you'll find that because there's no boot command, people will experiment until they find people that can actually play, and are properly configured, and then invite only them to their game. Make sense?

Interesting - this might be a better option than the OTA settings patch.

Did you try uploading it at Fileuniverse?

Oh good lord. Let's not get into a lengthy debate on copyright law. Everyone wants to play TA. Most people here own (or owned TA). I have a full install of TA on my computer. I feel that it is perfectly legitimate to run content I have a right to view in one engine on another engine. Besides, if you...

I offered to do that in the chat room, but people said they'd prefer them separate. :?

Also, i'm putting the maps in the zip at the moment just so there is a larger selection of maps for people to play from (without having to constantly send people to download the map).

I'd like to point out that a hex error code probably isn't all that useful, even to the devs. :?

First thing to check if your battleroom client won't launch - do you have the .NET framework installed?

Notice: I'm going to release v2 when Metal Heck 2 is released, along with anything else that's been released until then.
