Re: infologs.springrts.com
A HTTP-ReST-API with unauthenticated GET (list and get) and POST (create) methods OK? (Plus non-API admin interface to edit/delete for now?) That's probably fine. I'll be using it through my spring-launcher and it shouldn't have any issues with accessing that (whereas using it from Lua might requir...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
I'd start by just having a public service to upload log files (probably intologs but not necessarily). No login required to read nor write. Maybe you could allow us to specify tags so that later we can build on it (user rights, searches, notifications, parsers, etc), but nothing more than a list of...

Re: spring replay site
Hmm... there is still something odd going on with the parsing (damn binary formats...). Some files from that I can extract team stats on my machine don't on the replay site... sigh...
Somehow a lot of demofile on my disk have truncated team statistics...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
The infolog page has the logic to allow only game+engine devs and the uploader (gamer) to read the contents and add comments. It also can do post-upload-processing of the data. Currently only extracts the gameID :) It connects existing replays and infologs using the gameID. Having a service to uploa...

Re: infologs.springrts.com
dansan, Is there any way you could allow infolog to be uploaded without a user account? And btw, what was the link to the API? I can't seem to find it in the obvious places (repo or site) Hi, there is a json_rpc upload method, but it seems broken. I haven't check it in a long time and it seems the ...

Re: spring replay site
Statistics are here! Player stats and Team stats are now extracted from demofiles and shown with nice interactive SVG graphics. Example: go to https://replays.springrts.com/replay/a2c0815b9a32dae80c6cc48a868f32fb/ click on the "stats" button below the map. Wait a second and enjoy. You can...

Re: Help wanted: Player lobby client name & version reporting support to lobby protocol and Uberserver (langs: XML,Pytho
IMHO the typo of lobby you are using and its version is not privacy sensitive. The information might be added to whatever magic SLDB uses to detect smurfs. But that's pure speculation, as I have no idea how that works. AFAIK the lobby protocol is not XML but a plain text command stream - something I...

Cool game :)
Amazing what you did in such a short time!
Love the drilling, ice-stealing ships.
Becomes really involving after a time with the paratroopers and more ships arriving :)

Re: spring replay site
Honestly, I would think that anything prior to 1 engine version previous would be ok to delete, imo. I see engines 10x in use. So <100 is a safe bet. But in this case it was just laziness (selecting by filename instead of doing a database search) :) I guess I'll do as you suggest and make a databas...

Re: spring replay site
The replay files for 2013, 2014 and 2014 have been deleted from the servers disk to preserve disk space.
If you need a demofile from those years, PM me.

Re: Making sense of sea balance
Sea is a metagamespace... Ships are the kbots of sea.. Hover the tanks.. Subs are the planes.. And that is where the imbalance of options creeps in. A plane player can attack both land and sea.. Alliw for subs to take flight.. Restore symmetry of options. That could be balanced by introducing a &qu...

[..] I think its a system for saying "thank you for doing/making some useful stuff". I can't speak for others, but that's the way I use the hearts in this forum. I also use them to say "+1", if someone said something I agree with, but I don't want to create a post with just a &q...

Re: Why are ping times so high?
The player pings you see ingame are not a direct measure of latency but rather the difference between server and client simulation time. I thought spads usually doesn't run the simulation, but only a kind of proxy. Does it have something like a "global clock", to which the users simulatio...

Re: spring replay site
I noticed this replay could not be downloaded. Possibly because of the large size. http://replays.springrts.com/replay/dc518f599685d019af3ab21139ef830f/ Any chance of seeing this obnoxious match? Hi, the replay file was deleted together with all of 01-11'2017 to preserve disk space, but I have it i...
