Re: Its time to remove the engine restrictions
When the exploit is so bad and players need protection, why don't you protect players of small games also? That is a good question. We have to balance here our desire to let users do what they want with our desire that the games in the server represent spring in a respectable manner. A passworded 1...

Re: Its time to remove the engine restrictions
Everything i said is based on empirical observations. It seems you're admitting you're unable to directly address any points I've made or back up your assertions with any facts or evidence. I guess its easier for you to just dismiss me out of hand without anything to back it up than to actually eng...

Re: Its time to remove the engine restrictions
Keep using words like "ostensibly", see how eager everybody is to help you. The goal was to do what you said on the spring server. Everybody is more than welcome to do what they want on any other server. We don't care the tiniest bit whether people play BA8/9/10/11/pi or any other game as ...

Happy 14 years of Spring!
It is that time of the year again which is a good opportunity to thank the people of this community for their involvement whether by playing, testing, developing or contributing in any other way. You are the reason why this project is still live and kicking after so many years. In the past year we'...

Re: 8 players to 16 players limit (and back)
Being able to support games with many players and with spectators is a selling point of spring. I can see no situation in which it is imposed in a wide manner. However, if there is a requirement to allow gamedevs to impose player-count limits or to disable spectating, it might be considered. Note th...

Re: RIP BA
You want a working game, talking isn't going to do the work for you. I'll make it clear - the engine project will not put itself in any risk for the sake of any one game, BA or otherwise. Therefore you can either: 1) Port the game you want to play to a recent engine. 2) Hire someone else to do it. 3...

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag
Ok. I understand this. In this case developers who want own innovations should to leave project and do something own games. Not this public project. You seem to get Open Source wrong. While the code and products are public, the organisation is definitely not. We are not state nor shareholder owned....
