Re: WTF
-Remember the names of the asshats, and stay away from them. -Get to know people and determine who you prefer to play with. -Don't use the integrated SpringLobby downloader, go to http://spring.jobjol.nl and download from there. -Try new stuff, different mods and different maps. -Don't let the game ...

Re: why dont u just play the game?
True, most of the games are BA, and from what I've heard Delta Siege Dry is the most popular map at this time. But you should try other stuff as well. My personal favourite TA-based mod is NOTA, it has entirely different gameplay and there is a fairly regular player base. CA is also popular, though ...

Re: WTF
Glad to see the asshats aren't getting to you after all :) Drawing on the map requires the ` key, e.g. the left apostrophe. Hold it down and click on the map for a marker (team-coloured shaft), hold down the LMB and drag to draw (this doesn't alert your allies like a marker but is useful for demarca...

Re: Arm Flashtank Ortho
I like it, I like it a lot :D This is my favourite Flash model I've yet seen. I'm on the fence about the guns, I like both of 'em. The longer one might look a bit better, and have better recoil, but on the other hand it doesn't really need to look like a 20th Century tank gun and the shorter, stubby...

Re: Crap
It should be possible to tell your firewall to allow Spring to access the internet, while blocking unwanted stuff. And if it isn't, you might want to consider switching to a different one.

Re: WTF
First off: Spring is NOT a remake of Total Annihilation. And it looks like the people you've encountered are right pricks. Don't judge the entire player base because of a number of bad apples. You'll need to have separate AI files to get bots to work. There are multiple different AIs, check out the ...

Re: non-turreted weapon?
I don't know about coding, but S44's predecessor in OTA had non-turreted vehicles (tank destroyers, artillery) work by using the entire vehicle model as a turret, so the model turned but the selection box on the ground didn't. It's a hacky, somewhat ugly workaround and I don't know how or even if it...
Re: NOTA 1.58
With the higher damage potential a Jethro has (plus the other advantages) it suits this task much better... But the Jethros will likely be dead. The vehicle has a better chance of survival. The Jethros may have higher HP total, but it's distributed over a larger amount of units, so the kill thresho...

Re: New 10 way FFA map - Kolmogorov
Looks excellent, and I think it'd make for an interesting 2-way or 4-way team map as well.
I just played a 3-way (corner v. centre v. corner) SP game, it works very well.

That's TASClient IIRC, SpringLobby probably has such a thing too but I can't find it. Clicking Documentation leads you to a wiki, and I haven't checked that out too extensively.

There's a host option, and you can build a Commander Gantry late-game.

Re: Units can only build some buildings
That's probably a problem with the UI you're using. What custom UI do you have? If you don't use it, then there's something more..... sinister..... going on here.
