Re: Time to take out the trash
I don't feel that the use of the n-word should be needed in our community. You can find other synonyms to convey your message.

It's 2018 and we can't manage to have a forum discussion without intervention from you know who. It's our own Godwin's law.

Re: Addon handler development direction?
Just leave them. Existing games are not going to make the transition anymore at this point, and the old-old handlers have proliferated too many times. More importantly their codebases are debugged (except for #6023) / well-understood whereas the addon handler has received nowhere near the same amou...

Re: which lobby is most popular nowadays? springlobby? zerok? other? my old favorite TASclient is long dead.
Maybe in theory there is this license issue. But in practice: I think you overestimate the importance of spring and its lobbies. There's nobody around here anymore so it has no practical value.
There are far larger communities if you want to go the legal way.

Re: which lobby is most popular nowadays? springlobby? zerok? other? my old favorite TASclient is long dead.
That's not the latest version, I think it's abma's personal copy that he uploaded there. Google for tasclientlatest and you should find version 1.09. I don't think all of it is open source, that's the issue. But the real issue is of course lack of communication and pragmatism. You should be aware th...

It's nothing like that. Just some conflict about source code that people couldn't agree on. But if you just want to play the game you can use tasclient.

Tasclient still works, but the moderators block linking to it on this forum so you have to google for it.

But we do make just a game. It's just that at some point the game was renamed to engine and the mods were renamed to games.

Re: List of staff
It would be nice to give me some power :-) Most people here don't know me well, but I've worked quiet hard to make BA community less toxic. Having a bit more power would help me. Honestly, at this point with the community: any change is a change for the better. And also the point that bringing in n...

Re: List of staff
There is a reason that we have term limits and I don't think that we have any moderator at all here who is fresh enough to have been on his seat less than 5 years. Even Vladimir Putin, Erdogan and African dictators have more rotation that that. The reason is that after a few years you become complac...
