Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Cheese I was expecting some mean-spirited personal reply but you just opened a can of reasoning and went all level-headed on his ass! <3 variko, I see you are really invested in bitcoins emotionally and I don't see any reason to argue with you on this issue any more, all I can offer up as advice is ...

Wouldn't call it a ponzi scheme, it's just a speculative bubble.Beherith wrote:Yeah, as of now, its looking pretty much like a ponzi scheme.
edit: difference is, there is a perpetrator in a ponzi scheme who knowingly swindles people out of money.

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
The problem with the speculative nature behind the current bitcoin boom is that, when all is said and done, it is just a virtual commodity that is increasing in value at the moment, yes, but there will come a point (and I wager soon), when people will want to monetize on their winnings. And if confi...

Re: Going to see Ender's Game IMAX tonight!!!
I am a bit afraid to watch it as it would be my last big favorite childhood/teenage book that got made into a film and just recently I tried to remember what I imagined the Harry Potter universe to be like before watching the films and I have nothing, rereading them leads to a world that is undeniab...

Re: Going to see Ender's Game IMAX tonight!!!
I read that he doesnt get any money from ticket sales so boycotting seems like a useless gesture anyway. This thread made me aware of the issue and I read up a bit on it and he doesnt seem like that much of a horrorbigot frankenstein mcarthyist dude, his views would not cause much comment if he was ...

Re: Games recommendation
I started replaying xcom : enemy unknown, its great fun, especially on ironman, but now i want to try out a new flavour and sadly the newer mods dont run on the version of the game i have. If you havent tried it yet, great game! I tried eador, its nice but it seems to lack something that involves yo...

Re: Mechcommander Legacy Video #1: Heat System and Jump jets
nice video, sound is shitty, sometimes mic volume is ok, other times its shit and nothing can be understood even with volume on max. run a quick master on the recording and compress the shit out of the speech.

Re: Bug Reports & Known Issues - b56
Not too much of a bug per se, but I ran into a UI issue with imperials: when upgrading your command centre, the icon for the upgrade doesnt reflect that it was pressed, so its a pain if you want to cancel it. This is annoying cause i totally stalled on resources and did have to cancel.

Re: Why not SpringRTS?
Also strange that there are not any "special maps" like towerdefense, footmen frenzy and all that other starcraft/warcraft maps, based on existing games. Hm ok, there is zK DOTA but could be much more. Spring is pretty much perfect for that. I made Chicken Tag for ZK based on Kodo Tag. I ...

Re: What secrecy network best?
i agree with Jools, that using such networks is a good thing in general! the main hurdle for it not happening more widely, i think, is that it is much slower to do stuff online, this way. yeah, try searching on google from tor, all you get is no service and a message that you are using a compromise...

Re: New Console Generation
I am hyped as fuck about the new kinect sensor in the xbox but for dev and civillian stuff, not for games. I guess Ill get one in the long run just for that and see how the games stack up. We have been playing a lot of split screen mario kart (emulated wii) with friends recently and I am def interes...
