Re: Smooth Camera

This is the only thing (beside the stamped explosions) that bugs me. I really wish more camera smoothness could be used (the 'tab' key uses it, I like).

Re: Proposal: new format for keeping settings and uikeys

If the only diff is ; and \n, then you can just do a regex search & replace in any text editor that supports it (I recommend Notepad++ on windows).

Re: AAI v0.86 released (link to binaries included)

My AAI doesn't load, and I was told that I need the config files.. where can I get them? Didn't find them in this thread.

Anyone have a copy of this? The link is down, and my aai refuses to work because I don't have the config files. :(

Re: New Ubuntu Apt Repository for Spring

The problem that I was having is getting the wiki to recognize the apt. [apt:package Click me!] like it works for links (or double []'s, I don't remember now) wasn't working :(

Re: New Ubuntu Apt Repository for Spring

I edited that section some to make it clearer, I hope you don't mind.

I couldn't get the apt: url working though. I tried various combinations, but it looks like it only recognizes the url when there's an http in there :? . Know if any ways around that?

Re: Having OTA, but no textures anyway

No, we do know it's a problem with Linux drivers. Phone up ATI and report the bug. It's not Spring's problem, and while spring devs maybe, possibly, I don't know, could make a workaround - it won't be feasible since only a minor proportion of people, on very old hardware, are affected. So it'll be m...

Re: Having OTA, but no textures anyway

Oh, yeah - time for a new video card.

I had the same issue on my old one (ati radeon 7500). Strangely enough it ran compiz fine, just couldn't draw textures in spring :|

Re: ATI Free Drivers for Spring

I had this issue when running on a Radeon 7500, the open-source "radeon" driver.

However I thought it was just the old card - I because I believe this issue is mentioned in the spring wiki and the guy said just to use a newer card.

Just wanting to know - are the mods coming, or should we install them ourselves?

Re: Ubuntu Problems

Wait, wait, wait. That's not how you should add the PPA. Go to System - Administration - Software Sources, click on the third-party tab, add, and paste this line in: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/spring/ubuntu gutsy main After that, close, let it reload. Then open up the synaptic package manager (sys...

Re: Ubuntu APT repository

There's an issue with the unitsync library; springlobby said that it couldn't determine the version and I can't join any online games. I'm on 64bit Ubuntu 7.10. Springlobby->options->Unitsync library should say: /usr/lib64/spring/unitsync.so Do you have an old by-hand install around confusing it? I...

Looks good, except I have absolutely no idea where to point the paths to.

All games are... there, somewhere... easily accessible via applications-games.

Sweet, more stuff uploaded. Just a note though - the "-y" flag has to be removed, since lauchpad gives the "warning! Stuff not authenticated" warnings atm and -y dislikes that.
