Re: Dual-screen

KAIK is really hard. I recommend trying AAI. I started out with KAIK too at first, because it's the only one that was working (didn't have the config files for the aai). That thing is a beast; even playing 3 vs 2 (4 kaiks, 1 me) I'd still lose often. It has a weakness on air/water though - it sorta ...

Re: CA X BA discussion

Turning the sounds down for unit didn't work... but I let internet radio play while I was, so it was sorta drowning out / smoothing out the in-game sounds. Whew. That said, CA is looking much nicer grapics-wise than BA. I'll be sticking to this :). Plus I heard it's replacing OTA models with their o...

Your command does work, but it's sorta ignoring the maps with the same name that I downloaded before :(

Smart people use that... dumb people copy links from firefox, replace http with wget -nc http, and paste!

Howto: Download 814 maps for Spring with easily.

This'll download 814 maps from the evolutionrts.info server for ya. They said they got lots of bandwidth and don't mind. So, just copy/paste the whole thing below into the terminal, and leave it overnight (make sure you have enough disk space tho!) cd ~/.spring/maps wget -c -np -nd -A sd7,sdz -r htt...

Re: Smooth Camera

That's cool, but as long as it's turned on by default... because you want to give the best impression at first, not hide a great feature somewhere disabled :?

Re: CA X BA discussion

CA uses more original models? (ie, not from the original ta game). Good enough for me!

Re: Money as a prize

Money is good when it's either involved in bounties, or the project is huge and has other costs (like a whole Linux distribution, or an office suite like OOo, or Firefox).

Personally, I like spending it on bounties

Re: Ikariam (Free Browser Based Online Civillization Game)

No worries. I played Ikariam myself; the forced diplomacy was fun. Then read what the company did here ( http://www.virtualcitizenship.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=558&sid=97adf41e937fbc05218ca610b3c6a1e1 ), remembered that I got an email out of the blue to join the game, and... decided their prac...

Re: Ikariam (Free Browser Based Online Civillization Game)

Yeah, it looks like the company behind the (gameforge) is spamming everybody - even in emails about the game.

Just got an invitation email to another one of their games...

Hmm. I'm not sure, I don't have dualscreen - but I did just read a thread where LordMatt said he used dualscreens. Maybe PM him?

Re: Dual-screen

Sorry but, you didn't state your problem.

I know that in springlobby settings you can check off the 'dual screen' option, if you're using that.

Re: Twinview, but different size screens

There's an option in SpringSettings to use a "Dual-screen mode". I think that'll help.

It doesn't come with the 128 version, which in the Ubuntu repos though. So you'll need to download & compile the 132 version:

Link in TAS server announcement needs to be corrected

Hi all, Currently, the announcement is the following: [16:13:29] ** motd ** Statistics are available through this page: [16:13:29] ** motd ** http://taspring.clan-sy.com/stats While that link never works, and as BrainDamage pointed out, it should be changed to "http://tracker.caspring.org/stats...

I'm afraid I'm on Ubuntu, and I installed spring via the PPA. Apparently the config files weren't installed.

So could they be reposted please?
