2 Suggestions, i think they haven't been mentioned before: Have the shield weapon targetable like a unit in the damage section of a weapon. So we can have weapons specialized for draining shields. A tag InvisibleTillHit - does what it says on the tin, would look pretty cool especially if it only sho...

I've been doing Tukido (based on Tae Kwon Do) for about 14 years. I got to black belt a while back but laziness, and general university life got in the way of me progressing further.

Targetable weapons

The tag targetable=1 seems to be hard-coded so that everything with this weapon tag can be shot down by any weapon with interceptor=1. I'd like to see this implemented in a similar way to the shield where there are different groups or types of weapon that an interceptor weapon can shoot at. With thi...

They shouldn't be perfect, they should be a bit better than they are now, If they took 4 shots instead of 5 to kill it would be better. Air drops would still be viable but fighters would have a chance to actually take down about a third or a quarter of them before they landed. Fighters should be the...

The 5 shots would be all well and fine except that the 5 shots took well over a minute to execute because of dodgy flight behaviour on the part of the fighter. Also atlases at 1239 e and 3850 bt are much cheaper to mass than fighters at 2687 e and 4077 bt. Say we have a mass of fighters defending a ...

This has probably been mentioned before, but i feel that the level 1 fighter is a bit ineffective at killing some level1 air. I did some tests, only on arm at this point - but afaik core has very similar stats with respect to level 1 air (correct me if i'm wrong). armfig vs armpeep - 2 shots to kill...

I just did some tests on the Janus vs both flash and gators - I don't think the Janus lives up to its purpose of anti-swarm tank very well. They still die badly to equal costs of flash or gators. Here is the replay: http://www.filelodge.com/files/room47/1352218/Janus%20test%20-%20061026-Painted%20De...

I only gave those as examples, the groups would still have to take into account balance against defence or ground against air etc, all the main scenarios would be tested. The reason i suggest this is that its a large amount of testing to do for 1 person. Perhaps there should be 1 group of say 3-4 te...

I'd like to suggest an idea that may help with the balancing problems which are now becoming smaller but harder to detect and fix. It's not an original idea but when i saw the results of it i thought we should do this more often. Basically Caydr selects someone or a group to play test a small aspect...

I'm not hugely knowledgeable about a lot of anime but i enjoyed
Trigun, Evangelion and Ghost in the Shell (The series more than the Films actually).

Also liked The full metal alchemist but it took me a while to really get into that one.

Sonar stations seem to have the same sonar range as that of a subs weapon/sonar range. So when they see a sub they die soon after :S Sonar stations don't even have good Los either so at the moment they are even more worthless than radar. Sonar planes seem to have a tiny sonar range also, needing the...

So make the mines cheaper: maybe half or quarter their energy costs. I suspect Cadyr reduced their metal costs and build time but forgot to adjust the energy costs. Also it would be nice if their build range was increased a small fraction so mines could build further away when it's certain they'll g...

Should the initial energy cost of medium mines be so high? Its like having a dgun firing constantly just to build one them. Even on a mid game economy its pretty draining to build afew never mind a field of them.

What time-frame are they expected to be used in btw? Early/Midgame?

Is there any way to change the fire and move states via a command?
I want to set everything to hold fire or hold position with one key...

Also can several commands be bound to a single key?
I couldn't see any example of that.

Edit - nm, I found the keysets, good stuff
