Pressing F10 to record a video desynchs the game for whoever presses it. Also, static defense units don't have the option to change fire modes from Hold Fire / Return Fire / Fire at Will.

Can the dummy ring work for any building? Cause I'd love them on anything with ranges that doesn't have one yet, like Dragon's Eyes, sonars, nanotowers, shields, or antinukes. I'm only assuming some of these don't have rings, I can't remember which of these don't, but if they don't have range rings ...

I did, but I thought you were exaggerating a bit... people tend to get a bit overzealous when they feel their side has been "cheated"... Well, I was going to post a full comparison of both stats from the FBI file, but I figured that would be overkill. Any chance of a test version of 2.2 w...

If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably cos the consul is a vehicle and thus has much higher HP... The HP on the Consul is 970, it is 900 on the Freaker. The costs are also not that much different either, Consul is 20 metal cheaper but 500 energy more. The Consul is a hair faster, but accellerates...

Is there some reason the Consuls build time is twice that of the Freaker? The Consul isn't really better than the Freaker. In fact, I think the Freaker may be better than the Consul. Anyone have any thoughts on how those are balanced?

can't you make application specific profiles in the nvidia cp? You can, but it's a longer walkthrough I think. I don't have a box with the new CP installed right now, but I'm fairly certain it involves the custom tab in the screenshot, making a new profile, pointing it at the Spring exe, and then s...

Also fixed the aiming height on vulcan/bertha, they were extremely low before, preventing them from targetting properly. *especially* on the vulcan. Could you check for this problem on the Buzzsaw too? I noticed it didn't seem to "want" to fire if there were any friendly buildings in fron...

If you are running the new Forceware 90 series with the control panel, check the screenshot in this Anandtech article http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2774&p=2 where it says Manage 3D Settings. On that panel, under the global tab, change Anisotropic Filtering from application control to...

7zip has a crappy compression routine similar to Ace files though. even if all yoru need is that one txt file,it needs to extract the whole archive to get it. If you turn solid archive mode off, this doesn't happen. Solid mode is implemented into 7Zip because it improves the compression ratio if yo...

The problem is, the default drivers that ship with Windows XP don't work well with the Athlon X2, more specifically its power management Cool N Quiet. This makes the internal clock stuff get all crazy, and has really weird effects in many games. Nvidia's drivers then make the problem worse by trying...

There's a crash on force start I can't find mentioned in mantis, the development log, or anywhere in here or the development forum. Force start crashes all the people in the game. It's pretty common knowledge on the game lobby, but I figured I'd put a notice up in this thread so that more people mig...

YEAH ITS REALLY SPECIFIC TBH, ONLY WORKS AGAINST MOST UNITS, I MEAN SHOULDN'T IT LIEK HAVE TEH AA CANNONZ??? Not what I'm saying. I'm saying I find the HLLT seems to be much better T1 overall antiswarm unit since it does pretty well vs thuds and rockos, and the beamer does do well in a few situatio...

Just tested them. They work fine. Using .nocost removes their energy output since the engine reads it as an energy drain. The other ones use energymake because they were not at one time a structure that armors itself when attacked. Prude was though. It's just a trick of the onoff states and whatnot...

Wait, you want to build HLTs instead of Bulldogs/Vipers? Why? And the HLLT is quite useful anti-horde - a Viper will have a problem with 20 zippers, while a line of HLLTs will rip them to shreds. I was referring to wanting HLTs instead of beamers or HLLTs since beamers aren't quite as versatile as ...

By current stats, I meant http://aa.planetannihilation.gamespy.com/modweb/units_armgmm.html That lists the prude as having -750 energy use and no storage. I was referring to what I had seen in one game several versions back that the prude had no storage. The stats from the FBI were posted because it...

Caydr lost his template that he used to make the 1.46 unit guide, so somebody else is probably gonna have to do it. And imho, the build list of the Consul/Freaker could use some work - does anybody ever use the T1 mobile units they can build? Oh, that explains why there hasn't been any new guides i...

Can the combat engineer units build nuke mines? Ideally they'd work great on the Consul and Freaker. I dunno anyone who'd be crazy enough to use a nuke mine at T1 anyway, they seem to be useful for countering swarms of T2 or T1 units, and maybe T3 stuff too, but 500 metal is way more than you'd want...

Pyros still fire at air units. I'm pretty sure some of the other lightning/flame units do too.
