tbh Resistance was one of the worst songs on the album anyway. I can nail down the cause to exactly one thing: Twilight. It corrupts and destroys everything that it touches.
The solution? Just listen to their older stuff. Origin of Symmetry was great, I find it hard to fault it.

Honest feedback? Come back when you have something to show us. Models, particularly scripted and textured units are needed first.

Re: BA model replacements
When are you going to do a release of models? They look great, but we have to see them in-game :) I'm pretty sure other guys here will script the models if you're having difficulties or want to focus on cranking out the models and textures. You seem to have prodigious modelling skills, I haven't see...

Re: Random WIP
http://filesmelt.com/dl/Shippays1.png I like that carrier, except it has a curious lack of an aircraft lift. The battleship on the far right looks a bit strange with the 'pinched' middle section followed by the bulging superstructure. Generally a ship will have a smoothed hull that doesn't change i...

Re: BA model replacements
Animation scripts can replace textures I think, look at the scripts on MR.D's CORE tanks with treads.

Re: BA model replacements
If I can manage about 5 or 6 models a day we should be done in around a months time. You do realise that you will need to texture and script those models? Look around, it usually takes at least a day to make a model including a texture for some of the more experienced modellers here. Scripting is a...

Re: BA model replacements
As awesome as Kaiser's lego is, and regardless of how well it suits Evo, I don't think BA would be distinct enough with 368 units all made with the same lego pieces :P It doesn't necessarily have to. Beherith's kbots and MR.D's tanks would be fine for CORE, you could just use the Lego system to bui...

Re: someone delete Spring from moddb
We should delete the page, and start anew. But also there needs to be a clear system of succession for this, so that we can hand over the logins when people inevitably leave. We should also apply that sort of thinking to the rest of this community management business.

What would they do about it? Obtain the patent-rights for the technology and sit on them indefinitely. Don't patent it, release it into the Public Domain, watch what happens :) After all, with your magical "close-to-free" energy device and a few extra add-ons you almost have the makings o...

free energy I would wish for something more reasonable - a small but highly scalable way of generating large amounts of electricity with a low, tangible and solid waste output. It's close, we just don't realise it  Regarding the problems with lots of cheap energy and capitalism - there aren't...

I haven't really had noise problems, because the office where I keep all of the network equipment is at the other end of the house
I must admit that it is sort of noisy on startup and when it is doing disk read/writes; no more noisy than a hard drive in a normal PC case though.

Well, I'm running a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo and haven't had any issues with it, but that might be a bit too small for your requirements as it only has 2 drive bays. I think the Netgear ones run hardware RAID; they are also built like tanks. I dunno much about the Qnaps though.

Re: NAS recomendations
You almost may as well build your own, using one of those embedded Intel Atom Mini-ITX motherboards and an external RAID card for more ports. Then you wouldn't have to worry about software issues, because you could just run your own
