I would rather scrap bos/cob then get rid of TDF. TDF is a thing where ANYONE can understand it, eliminating it is like eliminating the smf format, some people won't be able to learn sm3, or it will be really hard. Triangles will tell more then quads, triangles are what spring interprets them as, tesselate triangulate, get the number of tri's then undo it normally. 400 quads sounds like a lot for that shape though.

You can buy a cheap nvidia 5800 video card I believe they're PCI only, if you have a pci-express slot, go up to 6800 or 7800, 8 series currently has issues, and I've seen better performance on my 6800gt then on my current graphics card. Your tires has side parts that barely stick out, you can reduce your pains you'd have UV mapping it, and just texture it in. :P

The only reason I like paint.net over anything else, it runs like fireworks, which I really liked. I like the free boxes and simple to understand UI. :P If I ever get around to it, I'll try to learn gimp, at least for the blurs it can make.

Blok blok blok is what the texture does, since the pixels are square it says let's make it ugly, since ingame rendering is done much sharper, you'll see the straights, but you see it like steps when I try to angle it, the only other way to fix it would be for me to make ALL of my textures bend inwar...

There is a way to get OpenGL to work in vista, ATI doesn't have a video card with nice openGL support, unless you're willing to pay $150 or more, that's why they're alway cheaper. :P

256x256 exists because there is no round pixels, make my pixels round and I can use 128x128 if paint.net rounded the pixels, wings3d doesn't sharpen it.
