Re: Dev meeting minutes 2010-10-03
The point at hand was threefold: 1: Statistics we DO have that are meticulous, do not show a substantial rise in the lobby playerbase that isn't already accounted for by natural yearly progression and the maturity of the engine 2: Efforts to spread word of the engine are good in intention, but harm...

Re: Problems related to Linux/Radeon/texture compression
Fixes like that happen all the time on Linux, many people know about them but they cannot be shipped officially with the drivers/games/applications etc because of the patent issues.
I'm just lucky that the recent official ati drivers now work properly with spring for me.

Re: fonts/FreeSansBold.otf???
Well if spring is wanting to load an otf font and he doesn't have it...it's still going to give the error isn't it...common sense.weepee wrote:You need the ÔÇ£freefontÔÇØ fonts (e.g. ttf-freefont Ubuntu package). Re: Spring 0.82.5.1 bug fix patch release
Where did you get the .1 release on Ubuntu?Sorcerer wrote:Hello!
With 0.82.5.1 and with 0.82.4 "Test the Game" selected from the Spring menu fails ("Fatal Error Not a script"). With 0.82.5 it is OK.
Also MetalMaker widgets are not working for me.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.1 x64.

Re: ATI crashes
Sorry choice of wording poor, i know about OpenGL being a bit buggy on ATI i meant that it's just another issue.
Didn't mean to say it was springs fault.
But at least for people getting the crashes i have found out exactly what causes it.

I posted this in a few threads but need to let people know.
Try disabling AA, it worked for me and 1 other, think it could be another Spring specific ATI bug.

Re: segmentation fault on spring start (Kubuntu 10.4)
Glad it worked for you, really needs a sticky thread to tell ATI users to turn off AA (why that doesn't work is beyond me).
I also have the weird green circle problem, but only on the minimap.

Any ETA on update for Ubuntu? (I realise it won't be done within an hour, just asking for an estimate :)).
