Re: Leaderboard in FFA mode
Would you think it to be a good idea to display the ranked order of the total metal value of each player in FFA mode? Yes. Personally, I would base the rank on energy income. Should the player not see his own rank? That actually sounds like a good idea. Should it be updated constantly or just every...

Re: t1 veh factory change , Samson ??
Samson dynamics on DSD: 1. Samsons are built early as a counter to LLTs and Commander + dgun. Think about it, it is really the only reason. If the Commander would be removed, players would make Flash or Stumpies as their first army. Stumpies, Flash in small numbers can't do anything against LLT and ...

Re: OpenRA (C&C remake with multiplayer)
You can download the music here http://www.sleipnirstuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=14937 I noticed the "high level game" seems to be a lot about early aggressive moves with the MCV and tower creep. If you can secure a contested resource field early, and force your enemy to mine in...

Alternatively, changing your desktop resolution should help as a last resort. The Mode: and Fullscreen: lines must be indented with a single tab. The game will crash if they are indented with spaces.

Re: OpenRA (C&C remake with multiplayer)
This seems to be really well done. I like the improved interface and the sensible gameplay changes which are obviously made by fans of the original, like slightly different costs, Infantry not getting crushed by tanks (improves already excellent gameplay by 100%), improved way of building walls, no ...

Re: I'm not a birther, but wtf is this BS?
Just because there are layers doesn't mean its forged. It is probably just software recognizing and segmenting certain parts of the image. Many pdf scanners segment parts of the image, i.e. cut off white areas to save space. OCR software also does segmenting.
No forger would be this stupid anyway.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.31
Yes, not everything has to be modeled 100% realistic. The slow shift works more or less ok for unprecise weapons like artillery (you get enough weapon accuracy error to hit the target sometimes), but it makes precise weapons like lasers hit the same wrong spot over and over again, while they wait fo...

Yeah, Yoga is a really relaxing and refreshing activity, no doubt:

No but seriously, Pilates might be what you are looking for. Similar to Yoga and focuses on strengthening the muscles.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.31
I always assumed that was cause because of radar "wobble". The Viper never misses a target when it's in in LOS. The current wobble system is flawed in that it seems "static", i.e (precise, not e.g. bertha) projectiles always hit the exact same spot. This often leads to situations...

The internet blocking law actually got completely scrapped a few days ago. Link? http://www.thelocal.de/national/20110406-34219.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zugangserschwerungsgesetz The English wikipedia entry for the law seems outdated btw. The German wikipedia entry is much more comprehensi...

Re: I know we're not supposed to get political but...
They got 2 percent in Germanys last federal election in 2009. This is enough to make the big parties aware that there is voter potential that is not to be missed. This, combined with the unexpectedly high resistance against a new internet blocking law (against childporn), now lead to a very interest...

Flash/Stumpy/Samson are excellently thought out and implemented unit concepts, interact nicely with each other, and are very well balanced.

For LOS updates one could maybe reduce their update frequency without any big downsides, for example dynamically as the game p...
