Re: Spring is running in SMP

Code: Select all

LuaRules::RunCallIn: error = 2, RecvFromSynced, [string "lups/ParticleClasses/simpleparticles2.lua"]:365: Invalid call
it's strange I get this error because Lups/Manager are disabled, is this because of Lua shaders enabled ?

bug in keyboard scrolling: when using keyboard scroll, a unit that is being given queued right-click orders with shift (move, guard etc.) will also have an effect on map scroll speed with keyboard, when shift key is pressed to give more orders to a unit(s) and before the shift key is released a keyb...

Re: Spring is running in SMP

"Does not work with all mods and widgets" doesn't sound very descriptive, but that much is already known since the SMP was first made exists, I had expected that http://springrts.com/wiki/OtherDownloads would be alot more specific, to specify exactly which mods and which widgets the versio...

a few things I don't understand - how can they C&D you if you made all the data yourself from scratch ?

-1: I don't think a company with such bad intentions deserves their game to be ported to spring, so no, just like someone else typed it already...

Re: The Star Wars: Imperial Winter Eyecandy Thread [56k warning]

sounds must be identical to the original star wars but remade from scratch ? since this is open game, in legal terms you probably are limited to using non-commercial software, that's pretty bad news because all the good stuff I got is all cubase and wavelab VST's hundreds of them :( (like Waves) may...

Re: Building with Profile Guided Optimization (GCC 4.4)

I have successfully compiled and executed 0.79.1.2 in profiling mode, but because was using GCC 4.2.4, it had some profiling bugs and caused errors where they should be warnings during feedback building. out of testing compilers, comparing 4.2.4 to 4.4.0, I found 4.2.4 faster, currently compiling 4....

Re: does quality scale with settings

I was running at 1600x1200, there is no aliasing at that resolution, the anisotropic was on but it didn't make any difference only some on the terrain at that resolution, the unit details and shadow resolution do not have any effect, and viewradius only changes the terrain accuracy and beyond a sett...

Re: Remove "eyes" as default for LuaWidgets

yeah, to remove eyes and all else that trepan has removed was good, but I have gone a bit further and made this instead: http://jobjol.nl/1115 which I think more represents the professional RTS category I think trepan did it for proof of concept and potential, and that he certainly did with eyes, no...

does quality scale with settings

I've been checking the cpu usage of spring and I think that the answer is no, I've tried everything on highest and everything on lowest and realized that the quality of the image that you get in-game does not vary as much as the cpu usage (and perhaps also some gpu usage), the only noticeable differ...

Re: Spring is running in SMP

I was under the impression that you were going to leave the optimization stage for after debugging is finished... but I have to admit that R5915 is very good, it seems that it is also faster for a change (usually a new version of spring is slower than the older)
