What size are your s3o skins? AFAIK no unit textures are preloaded per se--it's just that 3do units all share one large 2048x2048 texture file which is generated at the start of the game. No S3O preloading occurs at all so far as I can tell. I even wrote a gimpy little "preloader" for IW f...

Try going to Edit->Set Font and then just hit ok in that dialog. You'll have to do that every time you start scriptor if that fixes it, though. I never figured out why that happened.

Actually the documentation these days is pretty good and complete. There's probably still some shit missing or outdated but it's still a lot better than it used to be.
