Re: Building a new rig - suggestions?
DDR2 and DDR3 kits have pretty much reached price parity these days. Not only that, but DDR3 is slowly taking over the market. DDR2 will likely become more expensive as DDR3 demand increases and DDR2 production wanes.

Re: Advance Wars: Spring's current developers are...?
When the turn-based gadget was released I poked around at the idea, however not much work was completed. AFAIK no one else is/was working on the project.
Caydr, last time I asked you were not interested in cooperating with other devs to co-author a project, any chance you might reconsider?

Very nice! Needs less OTA-based mods, showcase some other stuff too (I saw a bit of SWS and S44, but they got no credit at the end?)

Re: I have a brilliant idea but want to do none of teh work....
Being successful used to be about developing skills. Building skills, mechanical skills, driving skills, athletic abilities, etc. Now most people are more concerned about fashion, grooming, and maintaining their facebook account. People have become apathetic about being the best they can be. I equat...

Re: Rapid model creation using a webcam
My work at Queen'sU Imaging over the past 7 months involved using point clouds for game models. Triangulated meshes generated by algorithms are messy and not usable ingame, so despite scanning the entire campus and obtaining many millions of centimetre-accurate measurements, I still had to digitize ...

Re: Get your act together
There is no guarantee that you'll like the one in production. Several of the existing GUIs are highly customizeable to the player's liking.
Lets make a different GUI for each player. BabbsUI, tmoUI, sheekelUI...pintleUI...

Re: Get your act together
Cant we just drop one of the existing GUIs in there and be done with it? Do we really need a separate interface for every *A project? We've got RedUI, IceUI, some others (CA GUI?), and also plenty of individual widgets to customize player lists, resource bars, etc. Anyone actively working on stuff o...
