Honestly, even if there is a remake in the works, run the fugly pimple-hills importer on that sucker, just because a Supcom->OTA->Spring report is _Hilarious_.

I would expect there will be before too much longer, once Nintendo realizes it may win back some of the older generations it lost during the Cube/PS2/XBOX era, on account of the PS3 not being as serious competition. Right now, I suspect Nintendo is sticking to the Friend system since it provides muc...

@IceXuick *points at big post totally quashing the bars next to the build pics that everybody ignroed* I like the bars. Very much. Often when playing, I only look at the most signifigant digit of metal cost for what I'm building, and what order of magnitude it is. That's when I'm being careful. But...

I would be satisfied with an L mode that, instead of shading the entire map, just drew a single bright line on the edge of your los/radar. That would be enough for me to keep L on all the time, and be well satisfied with it. So basically all I think I'm asking for is a different shade effect for the...

I think the point was not "Poly's mean nothing! Free for all!" But more like "Polycount is not the primary determinant of a models performance, rather there are other factors in the Spring core that are the primary chokepoints. As a result of this, the optimum polycount for performanc...

I use AAI because it's installation was simple, and it is the only AI that I have tried that runs stably on my machine. I love the learning algorithm too- after 10 games on one map, there aren't many new things it will try, but it's really fun to fire up a new map and watch it evolve depending on wh...

The maps I downloaded _that session_ appear green on my computer, but once I shut Spring down for the day and come back to it later, the entire list has gone back to being black.

Except for some names in yellow, which are usually things I haven't downloaded, and I'm not sure why they show up yellow.

Sounds like a lot of extra complexity and some extra processor load (cycling through task priority checks for every builder on patrol) for a behavior that could be more accurately generated and tightly managed by having the patrol and guard commands remain separate. Personally, I hate losing a turre...

I think it's more like... "Hey, that would be an interesting battlefield to play on. And apparently the pros think so too! Lets make it!"

It's no different than remaking an OTA map that was interesting.

Looks like there is a green base out on one of those islands, so pretty big.

But yeah, blue water, green/yellow land, and grey mountains- matches the color scheme for most of Ice's maps.

I like the idea of having manpower not be a TA-like resource you burn through a ton of, but rather something that is fairly rare, whith the negative energy storage idea. Navies do take in new people though. At least, since you are already talking about a timescale where new ships are being built. Yo...

Sadly, popularity not always indicative of what makes a good map, tactically speaking. I mean, look how often speedmetal gets played.
