Re: Your Desk
Well my desk is only sort of a desk. It was originally designed as an audio rack with detachable top but it ended up too heavy to move around. Oh and I use Mac OS 1.5 and Kubuntu 7.10 on that laptop.

Re: Next version of AA, what should it be called?
You could go with something like Absolute Annihilation Cadyr's Version or Original Branch but that is not very imaginative.

Re: A Christmas Mouse
The sides do click, you just have to be sensitive enough to feel it. Also the top detects what you are pressing on and the priority is from highest to lowest scroll ball, left side, right side. However the pressing is fairly sensitive so if you have a tendency to push down with all of your fingers r...

Re: A Christmas Mouse
The mighty mouse is for those people who want a sensitive mouse with a specific feature set. For those who want something bigger with more response (read less sensitivity) there are other mice. Of course I am still working on getting the horizontal scrolling working in kubuntu and I have to sudo con...

Re: A Christmas Mouse
theHive, your mouse probably just needs a slight cleaning of the scroll ball.

Re: A plea to team players for aggression
Well currently one AI can beat me fairly consistently so I have some time to go before I get to that. On the other hand I don't mind loosing, especially to a person so long as it isn't caused by things like bugs in the program.

Re: A Christmas Mouse
I find the Mighty Mouse to be extremely useful. It works well, the buttons, all function with good sensitivity, and the scroll ball is great for those people who are good at small accurate movements. It is especially nice for things like spreadsheets and audio and video editing where being able to s...

Re: A Christmas Mouse
If you get horizontal scroll working and are using an application that does not do anything with the horizontal scroll it can cause the vertical scrolling to behave very weirdly, as in making it easy to zoom out but very hard to zoom in in spring.

Re: Mac Binary Release
Your best bet might be looking at the installation guide for Linux but that is I admit not a particularly good option. Other than that I don't know. I am sorry I don't have more to help you out with.

Re: A plea to team players for aggression
As a decade long single player porcer in TA (once a month approximate maximum games), the thing that just recently (still single player) got me to attack at the beginning was quite simply playing non TA games for spring. The game did not have the defenses I was used to and so I had to attack. In par...

To me in general the effects look slightly grainy in that there don't seem to be enough particles. There are the aforementioned gaps in the missile trails. Additionally the explosions could also use some more stuff flying around, as right now it looks a little sparse. Also more smoke probably wouldn...

Very good idea and something I would love to see implemented. However instead of having a speical tag for stealth wouldn't it be better to just have the detectability multiplier for a stealth object be 0? It would also be nice to have emitters to simulate for example real life radar jammers which sp...

Yes this is a feature request, and it has approximately been made before with a number of people asking for it. However the most likely reason it hasn't been implemented yet is due to the high complexity of what is being asked for and the difficulty of implementing it without breaking all current mo...

I would suggest if she truly wants a Mac but only wants to spend $700 that she get it used. Most of the Macs in that range selling used will be PowerPC based not Intel based but you might be able to find some or it might not matter. Also why does she want a Mac? Is it just ease of use or also the po...
