Re: Bitcoin mining made easy

I don't think that debt itself is a bad thing; what's bad is the slippery slope designed by lenders to keep you in debt for as long a possible, and make you pay back far more than you ever should have. But otherwise the ability to borrow money opens up a lot of possibilies for investment risks, whi...

This is one of those corner case users, where it could be a spam bot, but I can't be certain. My recommendation is to respond when sensical.

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy

It doesn't bring any freedom to economic transactions, as it is directly dependent upon the expenditure of existing currency, and does not change the relationship of, or from, labour extraction.

Guns Of Icarus

It's exciting, and frustratingly indie, and probably right up the alleys of all the people here who will most dislike it. Gather a few friends, make one of them your captain and pilot, and then prepare to unleash your frustration upon her as your airship hits rocks. Or sand. Or buildings. Or other a...

It just serves as an aggregrated host, really, I don't believe it has any truly exclusive high-quality content.

Re: Mechs & Variants Discussion

Much like modern society, Mechwarrior circumstantially favours specialization, but across a diverse experience or subsequent to a change in rules, the specialist will be brought down by the sacrifices made. If I recall correctly, the rationale for diversity in design in Mechwarrior derives from the ...

I was very amused by the title of this thread; they've largely been rubbish since AA.

Re: Anti-transmisogyny action!

The review is, like the game, illuminating in regards to the respective creator. Incidentally, there is another experimental game which has a single mechanical model and deals with the themes of dysphoria through a journey to and from the far side of the moon, but I cannot recall the name. Ah, yes -...

Re: please no more "test" versions on filesharing sites

Completely different level of sophistication and abstraction in play. A taxi cab driver does something you can do manually with your own vehicle. A computer performs calculations of a complexity and speed that the individual cannot match, often to create experiences which do not (generally) exist ou...

Re: please no more "test" versions on filesharing sites

Third, I hate any automated services, as automation usualy goes in the wrong direction and creates users that have no clue about how their computers work, nor how to download one single file from internet and put it into designated folder. Although I sympathize with your views and share the realist...

Aye, we knew it was possible then. We didn't implement it because of the time and effort involved in mapping period accurate camo on a unit by unit basis for each variety. :P

Re: Relicense unitsync as LGPL?

As third party confirmation, and as someone who has always been very concerned about licensing, the case is as aforementioned in this thread; There is no compelling reason to change Unitsync to LGPL from GPL, nor is it feasible in the case of this project. There are upsides and downsides to all lice...
