Re: SUUUPAHH SUUMMASSHHH BUUURRAAASSAAAAASSS BURRRAWWWRRRRUUUUUU
I'm almost to the point where using the nun-chucks feels natural... not quite as much hitting wrong buttons anymore. And I manage to jab the joystick in the right direction AND at the right time at least 60% of the time now!

I assure you. It is pure awesome rolling in excess pawn. The urge to plug in GC controllers so that I don't suck as bad is difficult to resist though... its so hard to get used to using the nun chucks! I'm still pressing up-A instead of up-B... or just B instead of up-B... both end with an early dea...

Re: Ground Fog!, without shaders.
user, I was specifically refering to the issue of determining where los begins/ends for the purpose of removing fog from certain areas, not considering the implementation of the fog itself (since that involves all that stuff I just gloss over with glassy eyes! gl.whatnow? :? ). So in the purely hypo...

Re: Ground Fog!, without shaders.
could this be taken 1 step further and implement fog of war! I assume you could set up mapX by mapY dimensional grid for the fog of war cells, and sets each one to revealed or hidden, 0 = hidden, 1 = revealed. for all" hidden" positions for each unit on team check los if los is in new gri...

Re: Multiple monitors, desktop panning, etc
Same here with my nVidia.
Don't spring much on both monitors though, since you have to switch it to span mode (which screws up my delicate icon placings).

Be careful not to drop that stylus! I have two siblings who have dropped their's now, and the pen side instantly stopped working. Though the eraser side still works. Only took one drop to do it.Pxtl wrote:...my Bamboo (Wacom's dirt-cheap consumer-grade tablet).

Re: Lua UnitDef CustomParams not indexing properly?
(skip to paragraph 3 for words immediately useful to you) Well, the thing about LUA is that it is immensely even more loose about data types than Java. Like... so much so that it is getting into the area of weird. Which is to say, LUA turns whatever you give it into what it wants if possible, automa...

Dolphin Slash > Falcon Punch.
Though I still haven't pre-decided whether I am going to be a Marth addict like for SSM, an Ike addict cause he is just cooler, or a Pit addict because he is looking to be just an awesome aerialist.

Re: Computer Problem
Monitors always do that when they aren't receiving video signal. Just means your computer isn't getting far enough in the boot sequence to turn that bit of hardware on. The cd-rom I'm not sure about... hmm... maybe it just does that when its powered with no (detectable) connection to the motherboard...

Re: Lua UnitDef CustomParams not indexing properly?
Ok... using lua unit files I see. (OT: Are they faster or just there to get away from fbi's? I've never used them myself...) Maybe try switching the order of helptext and windGenerator, see which works then (I'd modify something to echo both out immediately while testing). Then try adding a dummy fi...

Yes, write it down, hex by hex.
I wonder how much data you could store per 8x11 page at the minimum distinguishably printable font of an average printer.

Vista 32 bit disks = coasters. Vista 64 bit disks = save for when updates and your next computer build finally make it worth going for, like in a few more dx10 revisions (if the next Microsoft OS doesn't solidify a repeat of the ME->XP pattern of less sucking, thus relegating those disks to frisbee ...

And then you get LUA#... yah... my point was just that you shouldn't expect call-script to work on lua callouts the same as it does with normal cob functions.

Except when calling lua dummy scripts. You can only use call-script with those, but it doesn't wait for them to return (or maybe returns them something like a boolean, but definitely not anything from the lua code).

Last I tried Scriptor at least didn't like trying to put a static-var's value into a piecenum. You've got me wanting to try again now though, wondering if maybe I just did it wrong.
