Re: Random WIP 2016
Thunderhammer? nah thanks... i rather take the undying, self-repairing metal body for the low low price of a soul, thank you. Comes with the nice advantage of being uninteresting for said bugs. Got 99 problems but gene-stealers aint one. http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/big/7t4v-6k-9568.jpg htt...

Re: Random WIP 2016
texture is very wip, but the direction its going should be visible. Blue is the team color. The idea is to use the atlas/lego approach to create a faction much faster. That might be worth the loss of visual difference regarding ship designs. I have no idea, how to make the image from the attachment ...

Re: Homeworld: Desert of Kharak
so, its on Steam for ~12€ atm. I bought it... i played through the campaign in one sitting (about 7 hours playtime on medium) ... and what can I say. Its absolutely worth the money for that alone. Haven´t tried the skirmish yet to see if the ai has improved in any meaningful way. But even if that is...

Re: Random WIP 2016
Lord Muffe- we want pictures of those tanks ingame. Then we want the game. And that spacegame... we want that too. :D soooo ... what you are telling me, is that I should start yet another project? Can do ;) Destroyer for another new faction. Quite heavily inspired by Fractured Space. https://spring...

Re: Help with "advanced" maths :O
Don´t know how lua handels for-cycles, but it could look like this for the second case: local angle = math.random() * math.pi * 2 points = {} for j=1,6 do for i=1,6 do local anglesmall = anglesmall + i * math.pi * 2/6 local angelbig = angelbig + j * math.pi * 2/6 points[i+(j-1)*6] = { x=mapx/2 + map...

If you dance with the number, the number doesn't change. The number changes you...PicassoCT wrote:Oh, a philosophical Question. You cant change a number, you can reduce it with itself to the identity (1) and then multiply it back to another number, but you never can change it.

Re: Help with "advanced" maths :O
not sure about the syntax, but isnt it just : local angle = math.random() * math.pi * 2 points = {} for i=1,6 do local angle = angle + i * math.pi * 2/6 points = { x=mapx/2 + mapx * .4 * math.sin(angle), y=0, z=mapz/2 + mapz * .4 * math.cos(angle), owner=nil, aggressor=nil, capture=0, } und points[7...

Re: Random WIP 2016
Just a few models I made while trying out the atlas/lego approach. It was extremely enjoyable having the ability to get many different models in a rather short time. Not sure if I will ever use them for anything, but the creation in itself was well worth the time spend on it. http://www.bilder-hochl...

Re: Random WIP 2016
ah yes, my texturing skills are basic at best. Unlikely to change, i´m afraid. The linked ships are from a mod for Homeworld 2 (Remastered) if I´m not mistaken. @PicassoCT: All the work ^^. There also is not quite a point in asking for help for the project in this state. Waste of time, still feel ba...

Re: Random WIP 2016
@MasterZH Thanks :) . Not quite sure which parts you mean exactly, but any inlets are meant to acquire aerially matter from planets with atmosphere. That mater fuels the reactor, engines and the weapon systems, space magic be praised. The idea is, that the reactor converts matter to energy and energ...

Re: Random WIP 2016
just a very wip dreadnought. Will need quite a lot of love before its finished, especially the turrets are pretty much just placeholders until i get the idea for a better design.

Re: Homeworld: Desert of Kharak
I really wanted to buy this when it was announced, but the terrible Ai and small map-pool are just ruining it for a full price title. Will wait till those things get fixed or the price falls to ~20€.

Re: Ashes of the singularity
After watching a replay on youtube I hope there will be a demo, since the gameplay seems not very interesting atm. Might still be fun, but watching it didn´t make me want to play it. The GUI seems a bit strange to me with the big health-bars and those army-info-icons. Does someone here play it alrea...
