Re: Changes to forum layout / startpage
3. tim wanted/will create a plugin for the bounty offers and wanted to do that (for reason) with phpbb 3.1 Yes, that's the end goal. I'm splitting that up in a few phases. Before dealing with the donation system itself I want to make sure it complements the tasks and responsibility’s @ https://spri...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
I am not sure if I will continue doing stuff or leave this community entirely. I tried taking a 2 month break but when I came back, it was back to the same drama from the same crap. Then it got handled, now it is starting again just from a different angle. Honestly I don't know what to do. You had ...

Re: PhpBB 3.1

Next time, give your feedback before changes are taken live.. nobody mentioned the right/left thing from the 8 to the 24'th of march when it was running on test.springtrts...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
Don't know, did we have signatures before? Can't remember them being there.
I didn’t remove them knowingly but I'm also not in favour of enabling them, it distracts a lot from the actual text.

Re: PhpBB 3.1
Any chance of avatars being put back on the correct side? Prosilver has it on the right by default, it's not a choice I made. Still during development I did get used to it being on the right. By now I think it should be on the right as I (reading from left to right) want to read the post text and d...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
Custom smilies should just work. And MediaWiki using the PhpBB user logins works to.. but I'm not familiar with that hack. [edit] That leaves: Fix css for links. And update README.updatephpbb and create a new SPRING.patch Done ! As far as I can tell it can be put live. Last chance to check things @ ...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
I'm a generous guy. :-) But let me be clear that I'm not going to do layout work, it's not the problem I'm out to solve. I agree with you that it's very much needed but it's "patches welcome". I hope to fix up the last things this Sunday, then we can take it live and I can continue with wr...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
If I disable the "spring" theme and use prosilver without our layout and visit the test forum (ff, nexus5) it's responsive. Add in the spring layout and it's the site we all love to hate, I don't know what css/html in the spring site is responsible. Unfortunately you say that it cannot be ...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
As for the patch jK pointed to. The captcha patch does a little div background trick that can't be applied 1on1 to 3.1, it should work fine without it. PhpBB 3.1 has the utf_normalizer static thing included. That leaves the custom smilies that needs to be checked. Also FLOZi's remark that MediaWiki ...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
It can be changed. I did make some changes to the original css for links as it wasn’t working right with links in the forum, but I don't have any visual preferences, I just like to have the PhpBB 3.1 codebase as it's far more cleaner to build extensions for.

Re: PhpBB 3.1
layout of the start page http://test.springrts.com/ seems slightly broken. I changed the font to match the font phpbb uses, it's a bit bigger. I don't know if that's what's "broken"? seems someone didn't had read: https://github.com/spring/spring-website/blob/master/wwwroot/README.updatep...

Re: PhpBB 3.1
I can upload an avatar and it will show up, I guess something needs to be done (file permissions, another directory, ..) to make the existing avatars show up.
[edit]
Ok, the avatars are just missing from test.springrts.com and need to be copied from the production board.

Re: I want to implement the us of astc texture compression
compile smt's holding astc compressed tiles and the engine side code, with etc1 recompress faallback I presume that means add support for a new texture format while preserving the existing supported format(s)? I'm not coding the engine but as nobody replied, I suspect it would be merged if you code...

Re: SpringRTS Organizational specification
I think this as good a time as any to breach the SPI issue. It depends on how much is donated to "Spring" as a project v/s how much is donated towards specific bounty’s. I like the bounty approach and for bounty's it would probably work better if money is directly donated to the developer...

Re: SpringRTS Organizational specification
I've added Anarchid to the SPI liason of "finances" as there have been no direct objections so far and we need to handle it. The next thing is we need to figure out who decides how Spring money is spent. Imo a group of around 5 people is required, ... You are moving to fast for me to back...
