Re: loosing mouse on spring crash
Minor note: If you had the desktop cube activated, you might want to disable it. I find if you have it on, and making it fullscreen using the gdevilspie method, the ingame screen doesn't move as you expect when moving the mouse to the side. This doesn't happen if you use the normal method. This affe...

Re: Spreading spring
/hijack One of the few nifty thing I noticed with Ubuntu at least, is a built in add/remove applications service for finding an adding programs etc. Just wondering/what would it take to get Spring onto something like that? OpenArena, a open source Quake-like FPS seems to be doing pretty well there, ...

Re: AI and Spring on Linux
Ok, simpler question. Is AAI the only AI that works on Linux Spring? Well apart from RAI, but the instruction to getting that seem complicated for now... /offtopic The standard package includes quite a few obvious non workable AIs, (KAI, JCAI etc), and I couldn't get Kaik to work either; it countdow...

AI and Spring on Linux
I just recently converted to Linux and just wondering AI works with linux as it does on windows, and also where the AI's folder would be located. Seeing it doesn't show up in .spring compared having a /spring/AI on windows.
I'm on the latest ubuntu btw

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
I always saw the "sun" as a mechanical gear, to be honest. Well, half a gear. ;) A gear represents a lot about Spring actually, as its a great, yet abstract symbol for all things "mechanic", really a lot of what Spring is about is "mechanic" in some way. E.g. We call Sp...

Re: Kernel Panic
More crazy AI observations. Would there be any interaction effects if I made RAI play as "System AI/KP AI"?. Seeing as I'm practically asking an AI to play as an AI... Ran more games today, and perhaps it is just a placebo effect, but I think... under this arrangement, it was more competit...

Re: Kernel Panic
Minor request. Could you include the "AI" gadget in subsequent releases? EDIT: Random fact, but it appears RAI can "play" KP. (AAI and KAIK just stands still and does nothing). Interestingly 2 RAIs (allied) can defeat the KP "AI" posted in the previous page... 1 on 1 RA...

Spring (Wiki) Cleaning
This thread is to discuss cleaning up the Spring Wiki, recognising it is very ad hoc in places. Suggestion: Could a new forum be set for discussing Spring Wiki? Somewhere to discuss/canvas opinion about changes made in the Wiki, and/or draw the community's attention to particular pages that need fix...

Ok, I don't why this hasn't attracted more interest.
But regardless, It's a good initiative as a way of bringing the community together. There's usually a responsive host most of the time
What things do the Spring Community want to see? Currently is just music...

Re: Mods with Playable Versions Discussion
*Thread Necromancy* Abiding rules that order me to post in this thread to comment on the sticky thread! This was a great idea, too bad no one really took it up. Any chance people would want to update their posts in the other thread? And I'm sure we would of have a couple of more "playable"...

Re: Change "Mod" to "Game"
"Discuss your problems with the latest release here. Problems with mods such as AA go in the mods forum." Might as well change this as well. We shouldn't be implicitly promoting any mod, even one that is dead and not really played nowadays. Edit: And since we're calling it "games and ...

Re: Spring Site 2
Crayfish As an aside, I strongly dislike the player/developer dichotomy on the front page suggested by Sertse. The people that the front page need to impress are those who come to it when looking for games, by accident or when sent to it by a Spring-playing friend. Developers already know the score ...

Re: Spring Site 2
I am assuming the games featured in "game highlight" on the main page will be ones included as options in the installer. When one clicks the "Download Now!" they will be lead to that mods page on the site (e.g. In this case, the equivalent page on the new site to http://spring.cl...

Re: CA and the primary mod
I think CA has been trolled here by getting into the OTA argument. BA is about balancing OTA. Personally I think BA is allowed to make all sorts of changes that differ or have never existed so long as overall a game of BA still "plays" like OTA. Pace, general strategies remain the same etc...
