Why not try something different, use tabs to separate builders, resources, offensive and defensive units etc.

I disliked the icons in the build menu in CA....

Also tool tips do need a revamp.

And what bout having a little gage/graph to show things like attack power, cost, resource stuff etc?

+1 I agree smurf accounts are lame, people should be known by one account only. Smurfing only encourages noob bashing, team stacking and ban evasion.
