Re: DayZ (Mod for ARMA II)
In the real world, when people do stuff like that, we hunt them down and kill them for it. in a zombie outbreak, where you are struggling to even find water and ammunition do you really feel you'll be able to organize a mob AND hunt a guy while there is a zombie apocalypse going on? I'd imagine the...

Re: DayZ (Mod for ARMA II)
They also need some systems in place that actually discourage 90% of the player base from shooting other players on sight. It's just too tempting when BY FAR the most valuable loot drop you will ever find is ALWAYS going to be another player's corpse, since only other players have spent hours scour...

Re: Max Payne 3
freedom and and a good story contradict each other. A good story emphasizes always a great dramatic event marching forward, or beeing marched by you- in both cases it doesent look good, if the heroe goes astray to pick some flowers for sidequests. I call imersion breaking. The issue doesn't always ...

Re: DayZ (Mod for ARMA II)
I have been looking into it and I'm certainly considering it. This type of die hard game is awesome. It's not awesome yet, but it's on the verge of awesome, so although I hate it right now, I'd recommend it still. The formula being built on is stellar and I think it will be something amazing by the...

Re: Diablo III
I'm not gonna claim it's an amazing game... but I seem to be reading people saying the game gets easier the further into it you go, where as from everything I've seen, it's the opposite. The game is PAINFULLY easy for the entire first play through (before you are forced to the next difficulty level)...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=IZrK_AFlrx8 What was that run on? Something unreal. Hurr Anyway, I can say now after working with UE3 for a bit, that the biggest and probably most useful thing about UE4 will be dynamic bounce lighting. (At least for me.) Baked lighting ca...

I was rooting for you and BlinG, sad to see you two go out so early. I'm not surprised DeMuslim and JonnyRecco got so far, but I'm surprised it wasn't one of them that took it in the end.

Re: Max Payne 3
As I understand it, it's pretty much the best painfully linear uninspired third person shooter you will ever play. The gameplay mechanics are absurdly nice, but the story isn't more than a bit above average, the art style lacks the style that made Max Payne original in MP1 and 2, and it's so linear ...

Re: DayZ (Mod for ARMA II)
I own it, I've played a bit. It's painful. I thought dwarf fortress was hard to pick up as a new player, but DAMN, DayZ is just absurd. You can't really play the game without looking up a map before hand and researching what area's are likely to spawn what items. There is no logic to running around ...

Re: Hooping is cool
Once I got half way in, and realized I wouldn't be sure if she was actually capable of a hip hula (which is the only hula hoop thing I've ever personally found difficult) I found myself wishing she's loose grip on the hoop during one of the rapid swings and it would fly off and clock someone in the ...

Re: Higgs
I like hoijui's scepticism . :-) Today I thought: Sub particles put together form a particle with mass. Most of the identified sub particles do not seem the have (enough) mass. The idea is that an unidentified sub particle must be responsible for the mass of the particle by having mass itself. This...

Quite good. You're using some fairly advanced audio engineering techniques here. I'm impressed.

Re: BLACK MAGICS!
That exceptional talent block is out of place. How do you tell exceptional talent from hard working, is there even a worthwhile difference? According to that you need exceptional talent to be a gamer. There's no worthwhile difference, aside from hard work tends to be less focused on one specific th...

tried a bit of titans quest today found it dull as hell but maybe just the first hour is like that.. nop, its trufax, i find it pretty fun at the beginning, but at some point you pick different character, then another, trash the game and just forget about it. I'm not too keen on TL2, I didn't find ...

Re: Building a rig
PSU wattage has nothing to do with it. Quality of the part is what matters. Moreover, the power that you get form a wall outlet fluctuates wildly, and as a result, your computer can be fried just as a result from being plugged in (although that isn't common - but it can cause stability issues). To ...
