Re: CORE Tremor +1

I still don't like the Rooster. The mad Rhino looks very cool. The fact that it open up first does help it approach the distinctness of the Tremor. I guess, which one i like more depends on the type of mod it is placed it. (More serious mods->rhino, less serious->Tremor.)

Re: Sprite support + Fixed Camera

Not all sprite based artwork is commercial Are those sprites non-commercial? What is their license? Here are other ones of the same. Actually i was planning to ask the maker whether he would allow me to use them, since they are pretty good. You don't need these from multiple angles, because they ar...

Re: brawler type aircraft..

Perhaps a temporary solution could be adding a flag that a(secondary) weapon does not affect movement? (Then you can make the first weapon a fake one.)

Re: CORE Tremor +1

To be honest, i like the old tremor better. .... the original Tremor model always looked like it could just tip over when it starts firing.. In most mods it actually fires many shots smaller then the regular artillery, and upwards. So impulse doesn't look problematic at all. I guess it does look uns...

Re: Orders system, stack language, orders feature suggestion.

When I'd redo the orders system I think I'd make command queues separate objects to which units can be assigned arbitrarily. (ie. a huge group of units could have a single queue when you command them all at the same time) Excellent idea! Would have to rethink how i am going to store my pathfinding ...

Re: Problem starting a game.

Download a mod, for instance BA6.31 http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=1113 or CA http://www.caspring.org/ (might want updater for latter. Put it in (probably this folder) ~/.spring/mods then you should have mods. (Does the spring lobby not start without mods? Or does it only give that message?)

Re: Poland

The funny thing about these 'antinukes' is that none of them work. general short-range tactical ABMs cannot intercept ICBMs, even if within range. The tactical ABM radar and performance characteristics do not allow it, as an incoming ICBM warhead moves much faster than a tactical missile warhead. Ho...

Re: Orders system, stack language, orders feature suggestion.

@det: Thanks for the links :) joy might indeed be a better language for learning stack languages. Edit: Talk about stack language would deserve its own thread. I feel like i need to explain the open question a little better: If you would have to redo the orders system would you do it differently? Wh...

Re: Request *secret*

I know why you are not getting responses. You taking the wrong approach. You are not hiring anyone, you aren't paying. It is not that you have to pay, other mods do not pay either. You have to entice people to come, and give them some certainty that it won't be your way or the highway. So how do you...

Orders system, stack language, orders feature suggestion.

The current order system seems to work nicely. I suppose (have not read any source of it yet) it works by having a list of orders and popping one off when an order is done. (And adding to end when repeat) I am programming an rts myself currently. And i was thinking about orders. What bugs me is how ...

BA6.2 (distortion graphics?) problem

I get Lua errors when there are explosions. It seems that it is specifically when there are shockwaves. (Edit: name suggests distortions) The lua errors refer to graphics, but everything seems to be drawn fine. They do slow down the game in an annoying way. (Other people didnt seem bothered by it.) ...

As it stands should anyone wish to complete the work or the glest team has a miraculous change of heart this is all that's needed to be implemented: Command line parameters: glest -h -p <port> glest -j -ip <IP> -p <port> If it were so easy, its about time that pidgin(previously known as gaim) got a...

(ubuntu)bugs ALT crashes lobby, edges on sprites

I found a bunch of bugs. I use Ubuntu, and the bug is in the current version: $ sudo aptitude show spring | grep Version Version: 0.76~b1-2 *Pressing (left)ALT while using lobby sometimes crashes the lobby. *Some sprite textures (like sand thrown up) have edges visible at places they should be trans...
