Except you were criticizing Forboding's maps. So I'd say he's got a reason to reply.

Hellspawn wrote:Another question. Does anyone think lvl 3 defence is slightly to strong? It seems very cost effiecent.
Depends on what you mean by L3 defense. Do you mean:

1) Defensive structures built by L2 cons?

2) Using L3 Mechs as defensive units?

3) Defenses against L3 mechs?

All are counterable, but watch out for the unexpected, mass T1 rushing endgame can cost you dear if you've mainly gone for annis and other stuff! Now I want to see someone win by gradually self-destructing their base and swarming the enemy with exactly 498 Peewees. (Unit cap - 2, as you need a KBot...

Of course there will be pirate navy! Im havent worked on it all weekend, i failed another calculus test today. Its so hard, i dont understand it at all. All you need to understand about calculus: it sucks. ;) (Seriously, I loathed calculus, but I managed to do pretty well in it. I don't know if I c...

Yeah, but they let you go toe-to-toe with your enemy's T3 units until you can afford a Kroggy. Assuming that you're on a map that allows/rewards T3 units and all that stuff, which most maps don't. Really, it's all kind of academic. A competitive game on most maps simply will not see T3 units. They'r...

Oh, another reminder for Core players: You have the Juggernaut and a pair of T2.5 units: the Goliath and the Sumo.

Hold on, what role does the Krogtaar fill, exactly? The Karganeth seems to be a pretty lethal all-ranges combat unit, like the Razorback. The Catapult and Vanguard provide long-range fire support.

Krogoth - King of the hill that we all love and hate depending on what side we're on. Brutal, effectively 3x as powerful as a Bantha with the only defensive option being surrender ^^ (or snipers... or swarms... or air.... or dgun... or nuke bombers... or a ton of tanks) D-Gun only works once on Kro...

I do worry about amphibious spies being horrifically powerful. I'd rather see something less...penetrating used for amphibious recon. Perhaps a stealthy hovercraft with a sight-radius comparable to a radar tower? Come to think of it... Does stealth affect sonar? If not, there's definitely no problem.

Ah, but everyone used that. Not everyone had an Archimedes who could make your ships smoke and set them on fire with light.

in the retest, people were challenged to get it to work... and some people from MIT almost got it, it just burned it too slowly to be a feasable weapon The MIT Test . It was, in fact, viable, but was heavily dependent on weather conditions. I think Boston is slightly farther north than Greece, so A...

Oh, is that why you can sometimes target ghosts and sometimes can't?

Misfeature, IMO. There's no graphical indication of the difference between "targetable ghost" and "untargetable ghost".

Doesn't maximum mass run into the same problem as the other controls? (You can still carry a whole lot of small units.)

This is Microsoft dealing with a mod based on a property that's pretty much the only thing the XBox has going for it. Of course they're going to gib it. Whoever the hell owns the TA license now probably doesn't give a damn about it. It's a ten-year-old game, any attempts at making a sequel will be e...

They uncloak when an enemy unit comes too close. If that doesn't work, use large AoE weapons on the area you suspect the target to be in. Though I have to admit I don't know which units are suitable for that. Or just mob the area with scout planes. (Yet another use for the almighty Peeper!) Snipers...

You're supposed to use jammers to cover the bomb. A mobile one to get close to the enemy and the enemy's own jammers once you are close. QFT. Or simply a long-range jamming tower near your own front lines. Skuttles seem to be intended to punish the enemy for pushing too hard with defensive structur...

Scuttles are about as scary as a flea, and thats the best thing you can use to eliminate the threat. Great, except in the hands of a good player, you'll never see one coming. And I've only known a few "good" core Bladewing users, one of which is Decimator, he was the king of Bladewing pwn...
