3) If any of you have played Forged Alliance, you know about strategic icons. Basically they are used to identify units/structures while zoomed out. Is there anything similar for BA? I dont think description matter since balance is still not done: for exemple, for last ba8.19, the descritpion of dragon fly would have been: [..] with new BA8.20, description totally changes. ...just an idea: the widget retrieves version specific information ("description") from a online database,...

When I started playing BA, I would have loved to have a tech-tree in a widged in-game. Units could have been browseable/interlinked like in modinfo.adune.nl. Widget (for the sake of screen-space) would be collapsed starting from the t1-builders and t1-labs as root, like: widget-icon | +------------+...

suggestion for a future BA release (shells do damage)

I have a suggestion for a future BA release: if the shells that exit Bertha/Vulcan/Intimidator/Buzzsaw would do damage to where they fall, that would make it more difficult to spam them, especially near/inside your base. Damage could be like a stumpy-shot per shell?

Yuri: does this hold true for the final 10.7 drivers? On which platform are you?

On Linux I have the same texture problem with 10.7 in springrts-BA as I had with 10.5 and 10.6 :(

This morning I got a PM from AMDs Zhen (who has been checking on the bug http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1849) answering my last question (in the bug report) that says:

I posted this problem in the Phoronix forum discussing the release of 10.6 (http://www.phoronix.com/forums/showthre ... 96&page=13) and a AMD dev answered. I have the impression he wants to help, so if we can provide him with more info, that might bring us nearer to a solution.

I can confirm the bug with 10.6 on Gentoo Linux and 2.6.33-zen3 kernel. I also found the same texture map that FinDude saw on the Com on certain parts of a Mex - it can probably be found on all items...

Maybe this information can be useful to Balanced Annihilation Developers. Oh - I thought they'd be around here too... how do I reach them? Have you experieced lockups with 10.4? Never. Yesterday i tested enough 10.5 catalyst and no lockups, just that bad texture problem, really a pain in the ass to...

Happens to me too with 10.5 drivers. 10.4 was perfect. Card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400.
Problem comes from their libraries not the kernel module. With 10.4-module and 10.5-libs I have the problem, with 10.5-module but 10.4-libs no problem.
