Re: The end of the maintenance branch

Can you please also prevent the script from deleting old builds? At the very least keep the latest 100 builds or so. due to lack of time, thats atm unrealistic. creating a release of springlobby + 105.0 is IMHO much more important. also maintenance 104.0.1-1563-g66cad77 exists which should be teste...

please create a mantis issue then.

Re: springfiles.com migrated to new server!

raaar wrote: 19 Dec 2020, 21:08 what does "way too unstable" mean exactly?
the server is maintained by someone else who doesn't care this much about stability it seem: it broke because updates where installed without checking/fixing springfiles afterwords.

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

Overall, please make a stable release already, no one is going to continue working on the maintenance branch, it's time to call it and release it on some stable platform like github. ok, i can do this. Thats create 105.0 from maintenance + drop the maintenance branch, right? I'll try to so on monda...

[misc] breaking changes: migration to springlobby x64 on Monday, 21.12.

To get up to date visual effects a lot of stuff in the spring engine needs to be updated. Engine wise OpenGL 4 needs to be supported which mostly is done in the current development branch of the engine. Because of further enhancements by the Game Developers the memory usage was also increased and th...

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

so, finally i get it at least to the step where it compiles with some changes: https://github.com/spring/spring-lxc/commit/08c1cb2335bebd829d5391506953d1d48a793a1a i've used debian 11 to have gcc 10, so possible this breaks some more stuff as the abi of libc etc possible aren't compatible any more. ...

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

so, springlobby x64 on windows seems to work fine: my next step is to upgrade the linux64 buildbot worker to a newer gcc. When should springlobby x64 be released? It will "migrate" all windows users to a x64 engine and so be a harmful step (again). I'm a bit undecided in which order i shou...

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

It would be great to have a way to download current builds of the transition and develop against that. Where do i get one? Or even better, could we host a 105.0 battleroom with the abc-game? atm there is only a win64 build available: https://api.springfiles.com/?springname=spring+*+transition sprin...

Re: AAI under development again :)

without a pull request to https://github.com/spring/spring nothing is automaticly compiled, with a pull request, travis-ci compiles spring + ai's.

when its merged "official" builds are made: https://buildbot.springrts.com/

Re: AAI under development again :)

Are referring to updating which "version" of the AAI submodule is used for building spring? I have to admit I am not a big expert on build systems and how everything works together... yes, exactly. When https://github.com/spring/AAI is updated, the (atm not existing) submodule https://git...

Re: AAI under development again :)

did you notice that your changes don't compile https://github.com/spring/AAI/pull/1#issuecomment-717416617 ? where should i report errors? do you plan to do more changes? if so, IMHO it maybe makes sense to give to push commits to the spring/AAI, as still the submodule in the spring engine repo need...

Re: AAI under development again :)

What is your preference in the future? Regular smaller PRs every few commits? (in my professional life as as SW development consultant my hair would stand on end if someone raises such huge PRs :D ) as AI's are git submodules it doesn't matter if the changes are small or huge... basicly only you co...

Re: springfiles.com migrated to new server!

There are also issues with the search function. I'm almost sure these were there before the migration, though. I'd expect content that matches one of the provided strings to appear on the results, but that's not the case. I've uploaded a map that had only been placed on the ZK infra to SF so it'd b...

@Beherith: i guess this is a missing dll. Can you please check springlobby.exe if a dll is missing with Dependency Walker and report back at https://github.com/springlobby/springlobby/issues/977? @ivand: very likely you have to compile the depending libs yourself: https://github.com/spring/spring-lx...
