Re: LD43

I'll be available for whichever day has the worst weather ;) I'll let you know on Thurs/Fri which one.

Looks like we have plenty of code - I'm happy to make a map also.

Re: [Feature Request] Unsynced CEGs

Afaics that poll also needs an "I have no idea if CEGS currently matter for my ingame perf or not" option. My answer: "I don't think so and I'd want some evidence before I believed otherwise" might also be worth putting in ;). As far as I can tell other gfx settings (distdraw, icondist, adv***shadin...

autogenerating codes paths in Protocol.py

A while ago I wrote some code that searches through the AST tree of Uberserver code, and tracks the possible paths the server takes in response to incoming protocol commands. Then, with some hacks, for each incoming command I outputted a list of (i) the outgoing commands that might be sent as a resp...

Re: Cannot shoot icons for units

Healthbars are drawn for all units in lua, without significant cost. Using the same framework as that would be fine for this, afaics. To detect if a unit can't fire due to lack of energy, simply (cache and) compare the cost of firing a shot to current E storage. You'll probably want to do smth to pr...

Re: Allow reloading archives while developing

I thought the .springignore file was meant to fix these issues? I wonder if maybe there is some confusion here about what was meant.

Re: Allow reloading archives while developing

1) reload the entire archive each time /luaui reload or /luarules reload is invoked, and Lua devMode is true. Pros: Pretty intuitive and doesn't require active thinking. I don't think this is intuitive - a reload xyz should only reload xyz. Also, it could make it very difficult to test widgets that...

Re: Addon handler development direction?

I'm afraid this isn't going to be much help, but I always found the "new" style handler were a pain to get working, less clear code to read, seemed to be missing "matching" features (selector/actionhandler/...), and were less helpful in fixing/detecting "hard" bugs related to callin order/execution,...

Re: most viewed list on Springfiles shows old/outdated resources

Perhaps a more important issue - downloads via rapid are not reflected in those (or any) figures. That said, online usage stats might be better to publicize than DL stats.

On this topic, imo the "Download" link in the top bar should use https://springrts.com/wiki/GamesDownloads as the default DL page.

Re: No ability to vote on BlackHoleHosts

It's possible to 'abuse' SPADS voting system by repeatedly calling pointless/failing votes, or by voting with multiple accounts - for example.

In view of the inappropriate way that you have phrased your first post, this thread is locked. If your second post is similarly poor, you will be banned.

It was a rare and old lobbyserver bug, unfortunately it seems hard to track down the root cause (so not yet fixed).

It looks like its not working properly there - all your mem allocs claim 0kB/s which I wouldn't believe.

If you let me know which game version/engine you're using then I'll look into it.

They originated from a mixture of what was in Evo's repo and the fixes that had been integrated into BA. In which case, as you well know, GPL states that you should credit any relevant authors from these projects too. Afaict this is completely absent. Debunked conspiracy thoeries, unwillingness to ...
