Re: Random WIP 2013+

gajop; I'm making the texture atlas, and giving it a try by applying it to some bots (i'll be making the rest of the ARM bots also) but beherith and firestorm seem to be doing the bulk of the modelling. Re: chaotic atlas... it's certainly not perfect, and you have to do some shennanigans to get ever...

Re: Imma Nouncin Mah Game!

Q1 - Too raw to rate Q2 - How I think it could be improved (does this go here) - Have each planet define their shot during the turn, and then once everyone has made a move, play all of the shots at once (to allow for surprise attacks) - If you made it like this, allow a player instead of shooting to...

Re: Movie recommendation

agreed w/ rattle re: Dredd and Skyfall. While Dredd wasn't perfect, it was at least violent to the point of the surreal, fitting nicely with what I remember about the comics. The bad guy in Skyfall was the best part of the movie IMO, but the James Bond that I've always enjoyed was the classic bond w...

Re: post your spring mod idea that you will probably never c

I wanted (and still want) to make an action/rogue-like with procedurally generated levels and items. Levels would have been generated like something from Angband or Nethack; mazes made from algorithms and populated with enemies and hazards. Players would pick a "class" at the start to somewhat dicta...

Re: List what you want to see that map making wiki turn into

For years I've been thinking of making a map tutorial; Would cover stuff that probably isn't elsewhere like using vectors to draw a heightmap, SpringMapEdit (mostly texture settings and the like), lighting in 3dmax, and then the weirder stuff I enjoy like merging meshes and bumpmapping textures. any...

Re: some movies that are not from the states, any good?

maybe what you're after are "film festival" movies rather than specifically foriegn movies... seems like you're after something different or unusual or unpredictable watched "Polisse" recently, it won stuff at Cannes (cannot remember what) and it was very good but at the same time very difficult to ...

whoever has edited it last (or somebody at some point) removed a lot of the "baby steps" information that i used to create my first maps, and a lot of the tutorials.... unless they are somewhere else... but I don't see them If we were to send the wiki page back in time, all of my maps would never ha...

Re: Stephen King - Books vs. Movies - Learn to read kids!

From what I remember that series differed considerably from the book, and while it wasn't bad, it stank of "let's change X to Y because we can't afford it". IIRC people weren't even turning into aliens in the series, they were being killed by radiation or something from the ship being uncovered. I'm...

just the million monkey thing; I've read altogether too much King.

you know what would be a pretty watchable movie even if they stocked it with celebrity actors? Tommyknockers.
