Not if you let the downloader auto download the map, without clicking on the placeholder minimap square. For those who have the downloader set to automatically download a map for joined lobby.

TASClient used to still launch Spring even if it did not have the map loaded; this was good. It was useful if I forgot to hit the reload maps button when I manually downloaded a map, or (most of the time) when the downloader fetched it for me. Maybe if games were capped at 8 or 10 players, there might be *gasp* MORE GAMES! Of better quality for mods that turn into shit when crammed with players. Then bug Noize to fix it, its some sort of tag in the fbi's iirc.

Its a mod side issue since all of CA's surface units can move over top of underwater units.

Oh but they can!
I changed it so they could about a month ago. You'll see planes drop reclaimable debris that falls to the ground when they die now.

Someone should make some widgets for working with autohosts. One particular thing I'm thinking is that whenever a vote is called, a new small window will pop up over the battle window with the vote question and yes/no buttons.

Well the second shot is ingame, and should have a map, not black space. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that since you have a VERY old integrated graphics chipset, that there aren't any updated drivers that allow your card to handle spring. I don't think with that card it would be playable any...

Personally I would love to have the above battle screen layout with the default lobby window layout. Currently the setting changes both layouts, and there is no way to change the two layouts independently.

Use the settings tool to set the resolution manually to the one your monitor supports.

Though honestly, I don't understand why you're trying to run a resource hungry game on a puny netbook. Don't expect it to be playable.
