Re: Elitism

Accept reality. If you go noobing through life, you will get yelled at. If you go noobing random team in battle.net you will get yelled at. If you go noobing when crossing the street, you will get yelled at. People that know me know I play with this same name, and I don't yell at noobs. Now you have...

Re: Remember...

Its not about stats balancing, its about unit handling. When you issue a move order to a moving flash nowdays, it slows down while turning. Didnt use to be the case. Devs fixed it in spring master like 9 months ago, but seems that lots of other problems have been holding the release back. So we've ...

Re: Spring Lobby crashes

To deny there were ever bugs is stupidity of the highest order, and is disrespectful of the hardwork people like Koshi and BrainDamage have put in. Thank you AF for a bit of sense. I too share your impression that springlobby is getting better. I said it was a buggy shit at a time in which loading ...

I'm not very clear on this. Does it kill nanos? Stun them? Does it still stun or kill radars and jammers?

Well I guess old times weren't really so good. I never liked that radar behaviour in OTA, but had half-forgotten it.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.6alpha2

I did not mean the targetting facilities were bad or useless. I just find it strange that a building sitting in the back could improve your accuracy so much. Sure it could be extra CPUs for signal processing, but still. It would be more interesting if they had to be at a somewhat attackable position...

What do you think of combining T2 radar and targeting facilities?

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.6alpha2

Lower metal maker efficiency. Remove the targeting building (the one that improves radar dot accuracy) and give that ability to T2 radar which is expensive and underused. Make the air repair pads (carriers too) repair faster. Make the seismic detector red circles less horrible, more like a radar dot...

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

Balance is asymptotic you can never reach it only get closer and closer to it. (...) In this case you feel the risk(sitting in the back doing little else but building this unit) does not match to the reward(a powerful unit). So you want to see a negative added to make things feel more even. Instead...

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

We have to argue against a superweapon that favours otherwise useless techers. Ballanced Annihilation has now reached the lowest point since I have been following. I miss Caydr. He made unbalance fun.

Caydr are you there? Sorry for all the shit.

Re: Zipper,Zeus,Maverick Vs Pyro,Can,Sumo t2 kbot fac comparison

Yes.

Adding the missing combat engineers would do a lot to even it out. That would be an Arm T2 KBot engineer e a Core T2 Vehicle engineer, which is also missing. In the old days we also didn't have T2 Kbot AAs.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

Krog, bantha, hydra all survive nuke. Yet you are not whining about that? Imo weak fighters made the game much better. The old gameplay was: rush to t2 bombers before the enemy does, and make more fighters than him and GG. If you nuke a T3 factory you will take a hefty chunk of economy, so you can ...

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

BTW I still remember a time when the BA mandate was to maintain the old gameplay, fix technical bugs and leave innovation for the other games (mods). 10 Vulcans per game and paper fighters is failing that mandate, Behe.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

No. You have to allow for several ways to end the game. Having one so much stronger than the others is just lazy game design.

I mean the damm thing survives a nuke while still unfinished. There is no way that is balanced or makes sense.

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

The Krow thing is not really a spam, its just getting one out very early. You suggest countering with t1 fighters, and that is probably the best defensive counter. But you should balance the krow strategy to having 2 players spam t1 fighters, not just one, since it takes two to krow. Of course, with...

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

PJY, I'm sorry if that was insulting, but you failed once again to understand. Yes it is quick game and unsatisfying ending for the losers and the winners that are not driving a krow. But so is early nukes and many other things that 2 players working together can pop out before minute 10. 10 minutes...

Re: Balanced Annihilation 7.50

PJY , you should review replays more carefully before requesting balance changes. The xanax krow rush that you so fear requires 2 players pumping into that krow. I know that because I am the other player. Or did you not notice that I didn't make units, didn't tech, ate my comm and still had no fact...
