Re: Java AI API: bug SIGSEGV or dirrerent API interface?

you write like an indian friend of mine talks :D did you call this code from the update() function? ... which leads me to assume that you are on windows, correct? my first guess would be, that this crash happens because the java interface tries to convert some value from C to Java, but the code doin...

Re: anyone need free food?

i agree with knorke. this smells like something like skype, opengarden or google, basically too professional/commercial and aimed at global data gathering. that is the exact opposite of what it should be, in every aspect. with this topic though, other then with skype and co., it will have a much har...

why i said you are a fanatic: you did not accept any critique on bitcoin in 30 pages of thread. now maidsave is "the perfect system" (vari. quote). just for the mind mastery of you understanding that bitcoin is actually not the perfect system, because maidsave is, i give you some credit, but not a l...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy

i assume you mean optimal system, not perfect system. it is far from even an optimal one, though. one thing that makes it sub-optimal, is that the way of (initial-)money distribution is still biased towards early adopters and tech-rich people. to be optimal in this aspect, it would have to ensure eq...

you seem not to understand the problem, probably you do not deal with other people, ever. i call you fanatic, because you say we should not discuss any shortcommings of the system, because they are just details. i never said the system is compleetly useless because of this or other any other shortco...

Re: Where does "Error: Invalid command received" come from?

suggestion x: "invalid command" message goes to a lower log level or different log section some counters/statistics are recorded for all invalid commands given at the end of the game, those statistics get logged on the warning log level in the default section -> no spam by default everyone can see t...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy

maaaan vari! such "implementation deatail" could only possibly be fixed, if it is discussed about, and thus it has to be discussed about, and saying it makes no sense to discuss about it, makes no sense. you strike me as a kind of ultra fanatic, trying to illegalize anything besides blind and total ...

Re: [solved]Colonizing Mexes with java wrapper

in some games (eg. BA), on most maps, it is possible to build like.. at least 4 lvl 1 mexes on a single mex spot, that cover the whole of the metal of that spot. thus, isPossibleToBuildAt is not a viable solution. it only would be viable if you play with only AIs, and all of them use the same algori...

So the idea was this.. a donation transfer service, that distributes a part of a donation to infrastructure projects (by noticing which projects i use daily), and via the registered tools of those projects getting donated too, shares a part of the donation to those engineering the roads on which th...

of course, if you ask the system/the matrix/the man/the machine, it will tell you to focus on things like chess in the past, Go (and starcraft) now. ... you should seriously think about whether you really want to listen to this voice, though, just because it will work miracles for you in that very s...

Re: OpenSSL alternative(s)

i disagree with you, kloot. right now, there are tons of devs that hate openssl, and think it is important to get away from it. there are alternative projects, and the linux and bsd guys that decide over which packets get include, and which get used as standard for what purpose and so on, would sure...

... why? if the code is really that ugly, and what they told me (and i believe them), it is, then this momentarily high attention will not help at all, and if you live in reality, you will also know that it will not be rewritten in a nice way (not gradually for sure, and with close to no chance from...

Re: OpenSSL alternative(s)

mmm.. close! the solution would be, to write everything in java from the start. ... actually, you were not really close, but i give you, that you were on the right track. more sieruus: i was told, long before this incident, and now again, that OpenSSL code is very ugly. nobody wants to read and try ...
