Re: PCGamer Magazine Coverage - Spring/Star Wars Spring

This is great! But wouldn't it better for this to appear when the mod is actually released? (Or did I miss the release somehow? O,o)

But, yeah, it will be great publicity for spring as a whole.

Re: A good map for Human Vs. AI?

It depends... What do you mean exactly, do you want a map where it is easy to beat the AI? If that is what you mean, try a map with a lot of choke points. And wall off the choke points with dragons teeth and defenses. That tactic on that kind of map makes it easy to beat almost any AI. If you want a...

Re: Beginner AI?

AAI is probably the easiest AI out there for a beginner. It is true that playing against an AI will teach you bad tactics. For example, AIs are susceptible to strategies that will not work against human players. Try walling off areas with dragons teeth, or massing air.

Re: Core Garpike +1

You know someone is really talented when the texture actually brings out the quality in the model. Very nice.. My only complaint is that I really don't like the position of the core logo, maybe if it was smaller or something. I don't know, it is very cool regardless.

I actually remade it with better textures... But I never uploaded it. And of course it was on my hard drive when I was forced to format it..

Re: Map suggestions

Frostbite V2 yay! Yeah, it is a bummer all the minimaps/preview images were lost when UF was moved. Theres tons of good maps out there, but I'm sure its hard for the newbies to find the good ones in all the crap since there are barely any preview pics (especially for practically all of the older ma...

Re: Selling spring content

As pointed out in this thread already, people often don't play free stuff BECAUSE it is free (they argue it must be crap because it's free.) If you make it cost them 20 bucks they would play it, because it would be a waste of their money otherwise. How would you convince them to spend 20 bucks thou...

Re: Selling spring content

People barely play the high quality copyright-free mods that are out there (e&e, pure, gundam, etc).. I have serious doubts that people would pay for similar high quality mods, when they don't even play the free ones.

Re: New unknown files coder/maintainer/lead admin thing

Would nice to get some admins at UF that actually work on adding minimaps & screen shots back to the maps.. Especially since all the ones that were added got lost in the server move. And no, I'm not volunteering. ;)

I enjoyed Cloverfield a lot more then the typical Hollywood pile of garbage. BTW, the whole shakycam thing didn't bother me in the slightest, I think it actually gave more depth to the movie.

Re: [LCC]Lion_heart / [PiRO]G01D Possible Ghosting?

I'm not saying anybody is ghosting, but saying someone would be unable to because they can't hax is completely stupid. +1... Spectating and talking on teamspeak/whatever hardly takes skills. I haven't checked out the replay yet, but I will in a bit. I'm curious how obvious it is when the flashes ch...

Re: Release: Emain Macha

Very cool. suggestions: make mexes in the middle give even more metal. The porcyness of the map is more than enough to allow you to defend yourself if the enemy breaks your shore mexes anyway. I know this is a convention but why make so many mexes on such a defensive map? When you have a very open m...

If a bot can post text... then what makes you think it can't post BB code ??

Most forums use the same code for images/bold/links/etc.
