Re: Help about spring 0.93

As you see in the call stack there is "RPCRT4" at the top. This could indicate that it crashed in RPCRT4.DLL. The dll file could be broken, or external interference by some other program such as antivirus caused it to fail. Anyway, test again and see if you always have "RPCRT4" at the top of the cal...

Re: Help about spring 0.93

No, not any file. You must copy the contents of the "Call stack" window in the debugger: In the call stack window, right-click and choose "Copy to Clipboard"-->"Whole table" Did you do that? Then paste (Ctrl+V) here in the forum. If it does not work you can start by telling what happens when you do ...

if it is a compiler bug why is then only GML affected?
Probably because it is compiled with different compiler flags. Another interesting thing is that some processors tolerate this misaligned data and don't crash.

Re: Help about spring 0.93

Hi Senna! What you need is a debugger. Download this: http://www.ollydbg.de/odbg110.zip and unzip to any folder. Run ollydbg.exe Choose File-->Open spring.exe Wait a minute while the debugger analyzes the executable Choose Debug-->Run When the crash occurs, you will see a message at the bottom of th...

Re: Spring 93.0

RAI Got a crash about 15min mark, just locked up using MT http://pastebin.com/7yvLmuap I cannot be 100% sure that this is solved, because AFAIK this bug is caused by the compiler (GCC), and it keeps coming back almost every release affecting some random function. Anyway I tried... https://github.co...

Re: Spring 93.0

Buildbot builds whatever bugfix release, lobby autodownloads it, users play it. Also gentoo or whatever users could enjoy multiple compile orgasms a day! WIN WIN. That's a huge security issue. I wont use any lobby that autodownloads a lot of stuff in the background, God knows what it will download....

Re: MT Spring & missing textures.

You're welcome! I'm not sure but it is likely that Quadro cards require more strict synchronization (for multithreading) than consumer cards because the architecture is more advanced. Either that, or just a widespread driver bug. I have a Quadro FX 1600M and it has none of these problems, with a 32b...

Re: Spring 92.0!

The Pentium 4's have this virtual cores thing (not sure if all of them), but i don;t know if MT spring would also profit from that. AMDs did not have that anyway. I believe because Intel holds the hyperthreading patents. HT may seem like crap at first glance, but can actually help quite a bit mainl...

Re: Spring 92.0!

No need to worry alba, spring-multithreaded.exe has been renamed to spring.exe

There will also be another unofficial "Spring MT", which is ~100% faster than the official release.

Re: Bruce is going to Denmark

First of all u should go in the very summer, because it is short. I would stick to the coastline at all times. There are many cosy small islands and boat trips available I suppose. When you have loaded your car full of drugs and alc in Christiania, consider a trip to Sweden, there is a nice bridge. ...

mt-sim? 1. 92.0 has been released 2. mt-sim is a feature branch by zerver. next time read the wiki page how to get the correct version. Switched to Master, same problems. Also the flickering only happens at some certain zoom levels. No! My branch is called MTsim, MT-Sim is part of the version ID of...

Adjusts this setting the mutex control? Do you think this bootproblems caused by Deadlocks? and MTSL=0 activates any avoidance/rollback/livelock functions? No, no and... no! Re: [Request] Feedback on multithreaded simulation

Okay I will make one in conjunction with 92.0.

However, the problem is that multithreaded simulation does not sync with the official releases, so all players in the game would need to download it from springfiles.

Re: Spring 0fps at start of game, no luaui, no add-ons.....

I'm guessing there is something your gfx driver does not like. therefore it's running extremely slow. Did you try different drivers?

If you can wait a bit longer so that infolog grows with some more stack traces, maybe we can figure out what is going on.
