Re: ANN: OBJ model format support

In fact I don't even use the blender exporter script. The .obj.lua are easy enough to be written by hand (at least basic ones) I tried the script in blender 2.49, though, and I couldn't get it working (same errors than CarRepairer, it was complaining about mid pos distance blabla) Anyway I'm using b...

Re: Blender S3O Import/Export + BOS Export Plugin v0.6

Hey,

Great tool :)

Any updates on the UV problem ?
I don't want to "mark sharp" 300 edges...

Blender 2.53 beta is done now, it's the "ready for documentation" release so I guess you can port you exporter to 2.5 now :-) 8)

Re: Random WIP

PicassoCT > Well, not really. I mean don't have a a list of colors already made that I'm picking to do my texture. I just have in mind that the model needs to have the same blueish/greyish color, so I usually starts by filling a layer with the same dominant color (around 118/123/128) and then toying...

Re: Time-lapse video tutorial of texturing a rts unit

scifi > for spring ofc. I played supcom, like the first 3 games of the campaing of the terran (?) and I hated the game. I needed to speed the game like 10 times faster to have something dynamic and reactive, and the differences between the 3 avaible factions are so ridiculous, like it seems you play...

Thanks everyone :-) Beherith > speed is x5 so it took me about 1h20 to make the texture. Gimp & Blender for the win :-) Hoi > True but I can't really spend too much time on a single unit since I don't have the free time I would for this project ^^ anyway I'm glad you liked the how to ! let's do some...

Time-lapse video tutorial of texturing a rts unit

Yop ! :-) x5 timelapse video of how I textured my research center, so it's not really a tutorial even if I'm explaining what I'm doing and if I'm giving some advices. The video is 17 min length, it's a bit long but I couldn't speed more : It's already a bit fast to understand what's going on ^^ http...

Re: Random WIP

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it  Hum, ok it sounds doable :-) Manipulating the terrain bellow seems the right way to achieve that but, yeah, can the ground be "reseted" if the fac is destroyed ? yop :) No, it's not a foot from a super giant robot, it's a toe from a super mega giant robot  I thought it was obvious  Seriously, it's a research center. I suppose it's a bit strange right now but it's more obvious in motion :) Saktoth > humm yeah everything will be release free but no...

Re: OverLord BattleShip For CA

I guess just remember that your model/texture will be really small ingame so don't add to much tiny details on your textures cause it's useless and ugly from a far distance view

Also, better to make 1 model textured than 10 models untextured. (and don't forget corpses :D)

I hope it helps

Re: Bicycles

Yo. Thx  Well, I'm 1.90-1.95meters (~6 foot) and I don't have any problems with my knees :p My top tube frame is 20.8", which is okay. Short street/park frame are 20 to 20.5", long are 21 to 21.25" so yeah, nowadays every bikes has this setup. Low seat because you can have a better "compres...
