Planetwars is good because it gives a macro game for people to care about and think about outside of just single matches, and also because it forces play on maps other than DSD.

8v8 and the refusal to play multiple smaller games/allow parties to limit to smaller games at peak hours played into the decline of PW write PW to adjust battle size / map / planet dependent on how many players want to play the introduction of one on one PW battles with the same weight as 8v8, etce...

the reason is clear, pathing has to be reapplied to the entire map. takes a few seconds, like it does when pathing a map for the first time.

yeah those particular textures aren't seamlessly tiled is the problem.

that makes them not really textures per se if you ask me.

suggestion: put almost all the metal in the middle. 3 per spot is a lot of metal, put spots sparingly...maybe ~30 on the whole map.

also please use a texturing program instead of hideous solid color texture

If you are gonna make another version dont forget to manually add a minimap to your map's compilation so that lobbies show water in their minimap. i did this on tangerine...problem is the ingame minimap will paint light/water over the top of the one you draw, and it'll be funky colors. the lobby sh...
